Our record against Norwich outside of the top flight is vile

Agreed - the most recent stuff has included them having Pukki, Cantwell, Aarons, etc, and although they do have some good players, their forward line has been affected by the absence of Sargeant and Barnes. Although we have the midfield issues, it's not the worst time to play them.

One things is for sure, recent years against these have been poor for us but at least the back to back wins have taken the pressure off. A draw suddenly looks quite respectable and a narrow defeat under the circumstances not a disaster.
Would like one of those sneaky unexpected City performances we have come to know and love though.

Their away form has been poor, they’ve got a lot of injuries, they’re shipping in goals.

We will lose 2-1 won’t we? 😂

Yep. And just to rub salt in the wound it will probably be our best performance of the season!

How is POTG still open when they’ve sold pretty much all the tickets in blocks 26 & 27?

Don’t really have much choice so we!
Well, we don't have to play all of Sakamoto, Allen and Ayari from the start. It's making us look quite fragile defensively tbh...and certainly not a threat at corners if we throw DaSilva in as well!

5-4 may be on then(!)

Tbf, the middle looks very light weight but the CBs and strikers are all units.

That midfield is going to get eaten alive.

That team looks decent to me; Thomas dropped and Sakamoto in is positive, as is giving Wright and Simms a go up front together (although I’m very surprised Godden has been dropped).

However, I’m not a fan of Kitching for Binks. The latter has looked really good, while in his (albeit limited) appearances so far Kitching has looked quite ponderous.

Feeling we’ll rid the Norwich curse today and get a result.

Really not sure that Sakamoto is going to cope with their wingers - it’s an odd one to play him there while Latibeaudiere is available, and we’re keeping Binks or Kitching out of the side to accommodate him.

He's not great defensively so Lati will have to be ready down that side. He could however give them plenty to think about going the other way and they have been shipping recently. Not payed them much attention tbh, from the bits I've seen it looks like Sara has been the pick of the bunch for them this season so Eccles will need to get on him.

From what i understand

Wilson
Tats. Lats. Fadz. Kitching. Dasilva
Allen. Eccles
Ayari
Simms. Wright

I think that's about as good as it gets, given our extensive injury list.

I like the thought of starting with Tats and Simms/Wright up front. Tats needs to get forward as much as he can, with Lats covering his tracks defensively. That lineup carries an attacking threat if they get the service.
