Stopping the clock in dead ball situations
VAR
Microphones on refs

There's a lot we can learn from Rugby and in my opinion should be adopted into football

Despite the issues, I really don't want VAR it is destroying any enjoyment of watching prem league games etc. Be careful what you wish for

Watched some egg chasing round a mates yesterday. Never really watch it, but as a football fan the difference in transparency of and respect for the refs made a massive difference. Also if they did VAR on a big screen like they do in rugby you wouldn’t have got that ridiculous Liverpool Spurs decision.

Isn’t it the fourth official who works out added time?

We were having this conversation at the game yesterday but didn’t actually get to a conclusion. Surely it’s done in conjunction with the referee as he’s the one who should be stopping his watch for any breaks in play. Let me google it 😂

Not convinced it would work in football. Fans are too tribal. The media replays every difficult decision all week

The bookies are running football now. They control VAR, referees etc....

The non-yellow card incident which really took the piss for me was first half, professional foul on Eccles - I think it was. Completely broke down our counter, the Norwich player (who had already committed at least 2 fouls) just took him down to stop the attack. When you don't give cards for stuff like that, you're basically just telling players they can get away with whatever they want. And you're not punishing cynical fouling where the Intent is to stop play.
The reluctance to show yellows also gave them free reign to beat up on Saka over and over.
