4 minutes of added time in that game, barely any time wasting and what, 3/4 stoppages for subs and a goal. I guarantee that the ball was probably in play for 10+ minutes more than our game which makes the 4 minutes we got seem a piss take.

How in the absolute fuckery is that a red card?!
it's a second yellow but the first was never in a million years a yellow and that was borderline.

If anyone of us was as bad at our jobs as PL refs are then we'd all all get our papers.

When referees look to see what every post on this thread, and every post on the BBC live blog is about each weekend

This ref is always shit and today he seems to have decided to personally say sorry for the disallowed goal against spurs

Fucking hell, how is Konate still on the pitch based on what Young went for?
Absolute joke.

It isn't a second yellow... It was a careless foul, he hasn't tried to trip him whatsoever literally two players running across each other. Commentators saying it's a yellow when in law it isn't. He's lucky in the sense the ref hasn't tried to level it up yes.

it's a yellow and even more so given what he was given already

It's not. I'm a referee, every single ref in our group chat has said the same.

'what he has given so far' is not an excuse to give another red. If he's wrong before doesn't mean he has to then continue to be wrong.

I actually think tsimikas is the lucky one in the first half as he made very similar fouls to young but was never even booked!

He deliberately impeded the player trying to pull him back to stop him breaking to get the ball and he was last man.

And laws of the game says:

- commits any other offence which interferes with or stops a promising attack

It's what used to be called a professional foul a few years ago, and would now be down as unsporting behaviour. Yellow.

Even Klopp thought it was a yellow which is why he whipped him straight off.

Look at where his arm is.

The ref didn't even book Diaz for diving.

Liverpool at home. Death, taxes and decisions go their way.

He has his eyes on the ball. He hasn't deliberately done that not in my eyes at least. And clearly not in the refs, there is little contact (but is some contact) and there position of the foul has also been taken into account. As I have said. Undoubtedly lucky, given the circumstances, but it's definitely not clear cut.

Want to see another clip of it again though now!

Everton are dreadful, (not just based on today), Ib don't know how true rumours linking them with Vik were but he'd have improved them no end.

Liverpool aren't going to trouble City or Arsenal and Everton well they could open that new stadium in the Championship.

2-2, Arsenal have been gifted their way back into this. They'll probably win it now.
