Yeah you're wrong ;-)

It's more customisable on Android. You can set it up exact like iphone if you wish, but you also get lots of widgets. You can set email preview pages, Facebook, Twitter, weather, photo galleries etc.

It almost feels like apple have been brain washing us that we have to do it their way. You have to have your apps in that way.

The android way therefore feels strange at first, but actually is better. I now prefer having widgets on home screens. I can see the weather and my emails without clicking on anything. My home screen one swipe to my right is full of my second fav apps in an apple style of block apps being listed and folders of similar apps. Of course you can have apps with no shortcut and leave them in the apps index if you hardly use them.

You can of course do all that on an iphone aswel, you just have to know how. Its not a simple process though.

Im still undecided mate, mate at work who sits next to me has iphone5 and i keep looking at it and thinking it just doesnt look as good as the s3.

The biggest stumbling block i have now is that my kids can imessage me at the moment, if i go to android then they cant. 2 weeks left to decide! Sell it to me Si! Tell me something amazing it can do that the iphone cant

I can play Goldeneye and Mario kart on my N64 emulator.

There is a ps1 emulator as well.

You can connect your games console controller to it as well.

The screens are much bigger and truelly beautiful. Most people who've seen it say they want one.

Torrent downloads direct to phone.

The kindle app looks great with big screen. Free books as well using torrents.

Data and battery usage tools ad customisable restrictions.

Live wallpapers.

Get WhatsApp and you won't need I messenger.

Hmmm...games are lost on me.
Screen tempting.
Torrent - what are you on about?
Kindle app tempting.
Usage tools tempting (I think know what we're talking about on that one).
Live wallpaper will not float my boat.
I don't need/use imessenger

What I do use is Pocket Informant time management app, the web, some other simple apps like weather & news. Listen to music & do emails, FB & twitter. Oh er...almost forgot - I make telephone calls on it too!

Torrents are a file sharing method. They've been around PC for years, but now uTorrent, the most popular client, is available over the android market. You can use it to download anything. I use it for movies and books for my tablet. And music for my phone.

What site do you use? I'm worried about viruses

I've never had a virus from downloading with Torrents. Because I stick to verified, tried and tested torrents.

Download the client here: www.utorrent.com
Then search your music/movies/books/games here: www.torrentz.eu

I generally only download from verified (ticked) torrents.

Currently downloading Game Of Thrones season 2 for my Galaxy NOTE. Something to enjoy on those long journeys to work!

I cannot work out how to use console emulators though!

I think I'm going to go with the S3, but any advice would be greatly appreciated

pretty sure i can do this on iphone too

There is a ps1 emulator as well.
This is new to me, ive not heard of a ps1 emulator before

You can connect your games console controller to it as well.
Why would i do this? To be honest i dont play games on my phone anymore just poker. And i dont need a controller for that :)

The screens are much bigger and truelly beautiful. Most people who've seen it say they want one.
Big selling point for me. Previously smaller was better, but now ive seen the S3 in action i want a screen that big! But, thats not a deal breaker for me as I still have my ipad and have a nexus 7 on my radar too.

Torrent downloads direct to phone.
Not used torrents for years.

Ive never read a book in my life that i wasnt forced to read in classrooms at school. This may go some way to explaining my spelling mistakes :)

You can restrict your data usage?? For example I can say "Only use 750mb per month then cut off my data"? This would be semi-useful. Although i rarely go over my 750mb allowance and the new tarriffs give something like 3gb! battery usage stuff would be handy too.
Live wallpapers.
I can do this on my iphone...but i dont.

I have whatsapp, but my kids cant use it because they only have ipods. You have to have a phone number to use whatsapp although I am currently looking at ways around this.

You can see why im still undecided. there is just so little between the two really.

You probably can get an emulator for iphone if you hack it and void your warranty/insurance. But you'd have to be a bit of a computer whizz for that.

You can set data limits yes, I get 1 gig so i've set mine to cut off and 990mb and warn at 900. You can also change settings individually for what can or can't access the net in the background. It's all nice and easily laid out and super quick to do.

Having had a proper play with it now it's bloody brilliant. I like the widgets, easy to use, tailored how I like and display info for me without having to go into the apps. No-way I'd go back to paying more for a shoddier product now. I think up until recently it was Apple all the way, and I shunned androids. But these latest offerings by Samsung and the new HTC have taken a big leap forward now.

Do not buy any without reading the reviews of them here by the way:

As I just put in my reply for CTID, check the reviews here http://www.techradar.com/

Very detailed and in-depth. To be honest what is my cup of tea might not be yours, for instance I love having a mini-Ipad practically as a phone with a 5.5 inch screen, others won't like it. The S3 is smaller than my version, but bigger than the 5.

Here's the link to my new baby: http://www.techradar.com/us/reviews...y-note-2-1093688/review/page:1#articleContent

The Note 2 does sound a fantastic phone, but it's a bit too big for my liking.

In fact it would pretty much render my new nexus 7 useless as there's only a 1.5 inch difference in the screen.
