Would D K wield the axe? (1 Viewer)

I suspect that all owners want to put their own stamp on things when they first come in, but DK can't really sack MR out of the blue due to the credit he has in the bank with us fans. But as soon as the crowd turns with gusto, I suspect MR will be gone.

Joey Barton's available if DK is interested. After all, since Sisu have left things have been far too sensible.

One thing that is different now is there would be a lot of managers interested in managing the club

There would. The days of recruiting a barrel scraper like Russell Slade are hopefully long gone. But as ever, the challenge is in picking the right one.

Nope.

I still think there would be more chance of him walking than Doug ever sacking him.

Exactly. Neither will happen but Doug will not sack him, even if we were relegated.

He would - he has already said we have budgeted to stay in this league next season - if we were hovering he would go

Yes but the recruitment team will go first. Robins has way to much credit in the bank to consider being replaced (at this moment)

Not sure how ruthless DK is but something will change shortly in advance of January transfer window.
Wasn’t Robins part of bringing in the recruitment team? Who do you think did? I’m also pretty sure he’s mates with the head of recruitment.

Just signed a 4 year contract hasn’t he? Cost a fortune to get rid.

Of course he will. He’s a shrewd business man. Results have to come. Robins doesn’t have a free pass and maybe that’s now causing some complacency.

The first half performance at Bristol City he might have had his contract extended.

when we didn’t score had one shot on target and lost!

That is the crucial thing. With all due respect what does Doug know about picking a manager (or anyone else at the club for that matter).
It's a very rapid way to blow a lot of money in a short space of time (which we have already done once) because inevitably a new man/woman will want to (rightly) bring in their own players.
(Not that I think it would be a good idea).

What DK would do is anyone's guess as we've no history to work from.

Personally I'd make the recruitment team carry the can first, but let MR now I'm not impressed with how he brought in a his recruitment team, nor most of the signings he has rubber-stamped.

Only way I'd consider getting rid of MR within the next year is if we actually got relegated. But if we got to next Christmas and were struggling again then I'd have a decision to make. But as we've got these expensive signings on long contracts he may well be back to relying on cheap and free punts to get us there.

We're not going to be in a relegation fight and Robins is going nowhere, silly thread.

Every season he has improved us, one step back and for anyone to be giving the WUM OP the time of day, shows how ridiculous this place can get.
