There was a sickening murder by a migrant in Italy recently, weirdly it didn’t get picked up.

The only way I can translate the BBC statement (everyone else seems to think he is in his 50s') is that he is Irish born and bred but lived outside of Ireland for most of his life.
You suggesting that a passport doesn't confer nationality? I look forward to Trump deporting you from America

He would still be a foreign national.
Not necessarily - dual citizens can renounce their citizenship of course

(Btw - these are the kinds of fun details that the media might wait to have confirmed so they don’t make mistakes like these!)

I'll continue to be baffled why some are taking offence at the police not classifying thuggish racists as the mainstream!
especially when it turns out that there were about 500 people out of a city of 1.5 million and most of those were after a new pair of kicks

If you are happy with George, happy with Hamas well a bit difficult to complain about this one.

Mainly Peaceful Protesting?

So you’re now retrospectively happy with “George and Hamas” (worst 70s sitcom ever)?

Go fund me to buy that delivery driver a beer is doing well. One thing I can get behind.

€275k! Great effort.

Though this one for the people who were attacked is only at £150k which is a bit weird.

I guess people assume the state will help victims in some way, whereas the have-a-gos just get a phone call saying thanks.

Anyway, I’ve decided to take up a side hustle of tackling criminals like Batman. €275k a time. Easy money. Just need to find some crime.

The off topic on here has become almost cinema for most on this forum. Laughable. Totally unable to relate to the majority of society...

The left wondering why they keep losing elections when they get told over and over is just some kind of strange existential universe.

It seems the Irish Times is considered the paper of record, I do not know.

Gardaí investigating the stabbing attack on children in Dublin city centre have searched the accommodation of the chief suspect in the case.

The man’s laptop and telephone have also been seized for searching as gardaí try to establish a motive for the attack.

The suspect, who is in his late 40s and is a naturalised Irish citizen, has lived at different addresses around Dublin.

Gardaí believe he is a single man with no children in Ireland, where he has lived for about two decades. As the motive for the attack, at about 1.30pm on Thursday on Parnell Square East, has not been established, gardaí have not ruled out a mental health episode or a terror-related link.

I'm sure that you're not that Naive to not understand that the use of 'precise language' is being used to demonize one side and not the other. Its clearly being done to suit a narrative and is totally wrong especially when the BBC should be impartial.

I'm still interested to know how Palestinians are classed as prisoners and the Israelis are hostages by the media.
For all this notion of the BBC not being impartial and left leaning, you might be interested to know that 8 BBC journalists have written a letter complaining about the BBC's pro Israel stance during this current war.

As for this stabbing incident, it seems an awful lot of people jumped the gun and to conclusions over there, listened to rumour and gossip on social media and went out on the streets to protest/cause trouble.

The perpetrator is seemingly a Irish citizen who has been in the country for 20 years .

I always think the sensible option is to wait until facts come to light and find out what really happened before simply jumping to conclusions.

Not much sense to be found these days though unfortunately.

We don't know if this was terror related or a mental health issue.

Best to wait and see rather than start polishing the pitchforks and frothing at the mouth, which many have clearly done.
