Intentions or not Viveash should have had a word, neither should be starting, for quite different reasons of course.
If Sakamoto wasn’t fit enough to start, it’s hard to see who else was going to play on the wing.

That being said, I assume our loan agreement with Brighton was a big factor in the decision to start Ayari today.

Oggy, "there was a big gulf between the teams today"

"I can only assume Ipswich felt they had won the game in the second half"

"If it was a boxing match it would have been stopped at half time"

Argh, that penalty miss is extra frustrating now.
We'll never know. If we had scored, the rest of the game would have panned out very differently. Maybe we would have pushed on, maybe Ipswich would have redoubled their efforts. We just don't know

Will Doug trust Robins and the recruitment shambles with more money in January?

It'd alright, we've only got a local derby against Birmingham plus Southampton, Sunderland, Leeds, Middlesbrough and Leicester in the next 5 weeks.

Even Wednesday are beginning to build after two brilliant results and we never win against Swansea.

Play the right team we will batter them!!
Thats the point. Im not sure we will pick the right team.
Whats worrying me is Latabadieure arguably has been our best player this season and was brought in to be a right sided CB in a back 3. Sakamoto was brought in yet clearly doesnt fit a wing back system. He is a quality player as a winger with a back 4. Now we have changed formation it seems latabadieure has no role in the team.
Surely when bringing in players, they are brought in to fit a system. It feels to me like the management team got a load of money from player sales and just brought in players they like the look of without actually thinking about how they will fit the system we play or might play. Ayari another example. Clearly brought in for a wing back system and now in a 4-3-3 he has no role and so we tried shoe horning him into a wider role.
Were Wright and Simms brought in to be a partnership? Can Binks play in a back 4. Da Silva isnt a full back in a back 4.

You put Wright out wide and Simms down the middle. Which is hopefully what might happen next week.

Now now now. Keep the faith

Indeed, twas a managerial stab in the dark and quite bizarre to change a winning team. Robins will roll out a myriad of excuses of course as he rarely puts his hand up. Alas ,it’s not a complete disaster , losing to a very well drilled team like that.
Doug King must be getting a bit twitchy though 🤔

People need to knob off treating Steve Ogrizovic like a god. Hanging off his every word like its gospel truth.

So basically like myself , most people on here thought we'd win at Ipswich away , considering the outpouring of nonsense

You do know we had just gone 3 unbeaten? We’ve just lost to the second best team in the league by a goal, hardly that worrying.

Thought we were ok today. No disaster at all. O’Hare looked decent and hopefully it will serve to see the end of Ayari - not interested in players who don’t want to play for us. Need to see a front three of Simms, Wright and O’Hare. Sakamoto is obviously carrying a knock. Take the positives - there are plenty.
