Score the pen and the game possibly finishes 2-2

You wouldn’t know it from this board

Can’t work out if it’s entitlement or frustration. Either way time for me to have a night off

And if the linesman did his job the other night we’d be 4 points of the bottom 3

I missed everything today, as I was out.

Just come back and read through an absolute meltdown.

Overreaction central on here at times. 😂

And talk about spin. 😂 One poster said "we were beaten by a newly promoted team from League One." That sort of diminishes things doesn't it.

You could of course say just that . But you could just as easily say we were beaten by a team that has won an impressive 14 out of 19 matches and only lost twice so far this season. A team that is well clear in 2nd place in the league.

Doesn't matter where they came from. Right now they are a top team in this division.

We'll be fine. No doubts in my mind at all.

Keep the faith, don't melt.

I’m all for being positive, buts let’s be honest we’re not convincing at all, we won’t be near the top 6 this season unless there’s radical changes in January. Back to our comfort of 17th.

So it’s acknowledged that his selection was wrong. We missed a pen. And we were still only narrowly edged out away by 2nd in the league. And we’ve just won a couple on the bounce. I reckon we win a fair proportion of our next games.

It’s not this forum Pete, it’s football fans in general.
And that’s ALL fans, we all think the reffs are bias against us, all 50/50 decisions go against us.
If a team is having a bad run, they need to play us.
We will beat the league leaders one week, then lose to the bottom team the next etc, etc, and on and on it goes.
Part and parcel of being a football fan, been supporting city since 1962 . If I had a £ for every time I had asked that god bloke why the hell it had to be city and not somebody else , I would be a millionaire .

Robins has to get his January signings spot on

the midfielder signing has to be spot on as ayari was a passenger

and I do genuinely think Allen is an important squad member, but the clue is in the phrase - squad member

I don't like losing but accept it as being part of supporting a team, but this performance leaves a bad taste. We got it horribly wrong and in my opinion picked the wrong set up and personal from the start. We signalled from the 1st whistle we were worried about them instead of building on the last 3 games

You keep to what you know works and stick to it to for so many different reasons. But for a new group its the most important thing and the quickest way to progress and build confidence. i just thought we bottled it and played right into their hands by being passive. I hope ALL involved today leant from this and we can get back to what has brought us wins as quick as possible.

Unbelievable bedwetting..... We will be fine. Nope we won't make the playoffs but who seriously though we would with the player turnover?

In no danger of relegation

3rd from bottom has 20 points after 19 games last year. We'll be fine even if we do struggle.

Great so from play off finalists to 4th from bottom as a reasonable expectation.

For this season yes. Rebuild after losing the 2 best players in the league and 11 odd new players.

Who says they were the best two in tbe league? That’s opinion not fact and frankly if you think 4th bottom would be acceptable you are deranged

Score the pen and Ipswich possibly decide to get out of second gear and score another 2.

They definitely were not playing at full pelt that second half and potentially had loads in the tank to finish us off if necessary.

Your right. 4th bottom would be really disappointing however I'm sure we will be more mid-table. As for Vic & Gus being the the best 2 players in the league it's a bit rich you questioning me saying that since you think Kenny Jackett would have been a good replacement for Robins.

Context is a great thing. We've spent £20M and Robins still doesn't know his best formation/best 11 starters. Today's tactics were baffling in the extreme .

Being pissed off by today is entirely justified, the set up, both tactically and personnel wise was horrendous and made zero sense. MR has to take stick for that.

Any bed wetting or MR out narrative (subtle or otherwise) is pathetic.

Same old people love the bed wet though, it’s inevitable on here, and while it’s frustrating it’s just part of being on SBT.

And I’m here in Coventry where people are running for their lives from a giant yellow tide of some description. Sources say it originates on SBT.

In that scenario it's nearly all gone, only Salts tobacconist left standing.

Ifs and buts. We've been saying these things every week unfortunately.

I agree about uber negativity but you are delusionally positive though which is just as bad Pete.

I watched it on IFollow with no commentary for the first half, then watched the second half on CCFC web site. I thought we played well against a good team, and were unlucky not to get a point.

One of the better performances this year, much better than Tuesday.

Sometimes things go for you sometimes they do not.

Well it might not have but I don't see the need for the incredible negativity .. sure Robins made an error with the team .. but had we drew today would anybody have said we robbed them ? I wouldn't

Game was pretty even
Absolutely right
I wasn’t even overly positive
Just said we were the better team for 20 mins before their second goal and second half they let us come at them and it could have been 2-2

Just to add some context...before today...

Ipswich had only lost 1 of 9 at home, which was the first day of the season against Leeds. Unbeaten at home since August. They've won all 8 others against teams above us, bar 1.

They've averaged 3.4 goals at home in each league game this season. They're obviously very good at home.

They've not scored less than 3 at home since August.

Is this an excuse for today? No. But we were up against a tough job....they're obviously a good team and we lost 2-1. Bad day at the office. As a few say, we're not getting relegated.

Move one and let's get one over Wayne Rooneys Brum on Friday.
