It was lovely quick build up. Wonder what their ceiling is under Emery, they keep getting better.

Fair play to Villa

Emery has done one hell of a job there. Made Stevie G look a right twat.

Definitely wouldn't have had them 2 points off the top having just beaten Man City and Arsenal after 16 games.

Aston Villa are third in the Premier League. They are two points behind leader Liverpool and five points clear of Manchester City in fourth.

How ironic it would be if Villa won the title under Emery before Arsenal won it with Arteta.

That'd go down well with the Arsenal Fan TV lot......

Not sure if this should go in the things that annoy me thread but I have just seen a video of a Man Utd fan who sits at home watching the game on MUTV & is broadcasting this through YouTube to talk about the game he is watching. Who is watching this shit live instead of watching or listening to the game themselves?

Either people wanting to see how he ‘reacts’ or people wanting to have comments read out on a stream

Correct decision but a stupid law, I don't like that the handball rules differ if a goal is scored.
Didn't the ball hit the Villa defender's (?Cash's) arm before it hit Havertz'? Seemed it was either a penalty or a goal to me.

Yea I think so, it certainly hit his arm which highlights it as a nonsense IMO.

Haaland had one disallowed in a similarly nonsensical way.

The rules are so overwrought now, they need simplified.
