Must’ve dreamt it but I was sure Doug said there was a contract on the table at the CWR fans forum. If Cal is now adding end product he could well fetch £15m - £20m with a couple of years on his contract so I agree, get £30k plus a week in front of him. Alas I think he walks for nowte in the summer.

Robins comments on O’Hare contract after the game, made me think they’re confident he’ll sign a deal. However, means nothing if Burnley come down and offer 10 million, he’ll be gone.

Which most would probably think is a good deal.
Unfortunately he is priceless to us as we saw on Friday and will continue to see this season as the fitness returns.

Anywhere to read these comments? Can’t find anything

I’m not bumping this as such but this perceived “burden” - which it never was - is removed. O Hare now also looks a goal threat - he is creating and scoring and looks confident - he is a huge requirement for the rest of the season - so the club has a real decision. Clubs will be looking at him but we need to keep him.

Whatever his wage demands are need to be taken in the context of having to spend a transfer fee to replace him.

I'd assume if we turned down cash for Rose and let him leave on a free (even though I suspect the £750k is more a figment of his imagination!) then it'd take a proper offer for Robins to choose to let O'Hare go in January, at least.

I still think he genuinely loves playing for us , he’s a leader and a joker off the pitch too . Think if we make him a proper offer he will sign

Back to his best? Parts of his game are looking better than that.

Stronger holding off the challenges and more composed in front of goal.

Vultures will be circling however. Get him
Signed up.

He spent a lot of time in the gym while he was injured and has visibly bulked up quite a lot

Agree with this - he already looks better than ever. It’s no coincidence that we’ve kicked on since his return to the starting 11.

COH’s offered some much needed creativity in the centre of the pitch and he’s now making the right decisions in the final third. He definitely looks better for extra gym work and he’s moving with intent.

As city fans we see a huge talent who’s been out for a long time with a serious injury. Other clubs will pay more attention to the injury - it’s a huge risk. We should make an offer. There may not be many others and we may get lucky and keep him.

He’s more important to keep than both Hamer and Gyokeres. They both had the individual quality, but COH being back in the middle has got the entire 11 cooing and ticking. Just look at the way Wright is smiling from cheek to cheek after setting up O’Hares goal. It’s clear he adds something that extends far further than just on the pitch.

He’s gonna leave I think but will need almost as much as Burnley bid the start of last season I would think

Bloody well hope not, losing Gyokeres, Hamer and O'HARE would be a disaster.

Hardly gets fouled anymore either, used to be on his arse all the time, seems he's genuinely come back a better player. It's brilliant. Give him what he wants

His final ball was fucking awful today. His work rate and ball recovery was insane though. Not sure any of that part of his game is any different to 1 year ago. Difference for me has been his finishing. Different level to pre injury.

But he still set up Saka and played O'Hare in to assist him

Edit - Wright into to assist him!

Pressure release in a strange way?

I don't think its unreasonable for O'Hare asking to be one of the top earners in the squad, think he has proved his worth since returning and if a deal is possible still the club need to make it happen.
100%, especially considering he’s been with us since League One, albeit on loan for a year.

Both On and off the pitch COH is an inspirational figure. He looks pretty instrumental in the current upturn in form and certainly brings a different level of energy to the team.
Get that contract sorted

Yeah I’ll take the L on him. He’s come back a better player, more than one goal involvement per game, his end product has gone up another level.
