A free fall from the dizzy heights of 21st?

Also, we are 21st now, but by January we hope (anticipate?) being higher than that, don't we? My reference point for free fall is where we will be in january, not where we are now....if you read my post. :)

I honestly believe a Cody on form could POSSIBLY score as many. He needs a decent partner with him though!

By the same logic I believe if I was 20 years younger, and could play like Rooney, I would be in the england team!

Sadly Cody has proved ineffective even in this league, and is now clearly carrying major injuries as is evident by his constantly being unavailable!

Unless Robins has a couple of exceptionally good strikers lined up in Jan, I just cannot see where the goals are going to come from.

And League 1 is most definitely a league where goals are even more vital!

BARNSLEY want former Sheffield Wednesday loan striker David McGoldrick.

The Nottingham Forest ace is currently on loan at League One Coventry City, now under the management of former Reds’ boss Mark Robins.

But the striker’s loan deal expires on January 2 and it’s believed he has no future at Forest, who have seven other strikers.

Reds boss Keith Hill is a big admirer of the player who played four games on loan with the Owls last season.

And this term McGoldrick has impressed with eight goals in 14 appearances for the Sky Blues.

Six goals in his last six games is another telling stat to explain why McGoldrick is held in high-esteem. Hill has other targets but is looking into the possibility of signing the 24-year-old.

McGoldrick started his career with Notts County in 2004 before a five-year spell with Southampton. He had loan spells with the Magpies, Bournemouth and Port Vale before joining Forest in June 2009 for a £1m fee.

Last year, he played for the Owls before opting for a chance to play for the Sky Blues having fallen down the pecking order at the City Ground.

Well that's that then... we have no chance of keeping him unless between now and the end of the year he finds the sort of form the rest of the team are showing

Looking on the bright side though, at least he isn't one of ours.. if he were you can bet your life he's be gone anyway in January sold to the highest bigger by our lovely owners
