As for the idiots doing that banner if identified the club could ban them as undesirables, cancel their ST if they have one probably longer than a court would.

Exactly how it should be. The police should never, ever be involved in stuff like this. Distasteful, but not a matter for the police and certainly not something you should face a criminal record for.

Yeah just leave it. Stupid to condemn it.

Anyone that makes banners mocking a tragedy should be banned for life. Does it offend me personally? No. Is it in poor taste, absolutely.

The thing is even if you are weird enough that you will dehumanise people because they are linked with a football club that is based near the one you support what about the pilot and crew who just went to work and didn't come back home?

Also rivals for being near each other makes zero sense, surely midlands teams should stick together vs London teams etc, if this tribalistic bollocks holds any weight

Reverse image search only brings up matches for the last few days which is worrying. If it is a cov fan do yourself a favour and leave it at home you bell end.

I cannot see that being displayed at the game today without other fans of ours kicking off (rightly so).

I also don’t think it’s us for various reasons I can’t be bothered to go into on here. Happy to be proven wrong and if so, the fans should be found and banned for a significant period of time by the club.

EDIT - already proven wrong. Very disappointing, can or is someone local going to go and take them down?

Ok I tried to stay away, but such a pile on I must respond. Most of you will react to this and quote it too, your choice, but let's at least have some perspective.

1) I didn't make or share the flag, I merely said I don't find it offensive, I don't.
2) there is more outrage at this than Jimmy's in a box which is aimed at us or even some of you thought it acceptable in Scotland, Wales and Liverpool for the same after the queen died.
3) we have people on here quoting who regularly get personal daily call eachother pretty nasty stuff and this is what triggers you. Really?
4) we literally have a death list where people guess who's going to die and jokes posted almost immediately after including by some on here who pretend to the faceless group this is different.
5) covcity4life how dare you question my parents who you dont know, you disgusting human being far worse than me finding someone else's post mildly amusing.
6) I've never committed any crime, I'm happy with my family, we have posters on here who openly admit criminal behaviour, some have even served time in prison yet it can be suggested that I'm the one who has an issue. Weird. I find stuff funny, some darker than most. If anything I'm too honest on here, but I'd rather that than some of the outright hypocrisy.
7) hopefully we'll beat our 6 fingered cousins 4-0 but if we don't, I won't be the one getting pissed, fighting or goading the away fans causing trouble like some will, save your anger for those, genuine trouble. I'll go home, be annoyed then move on. Might even post on here about the actual football. Some of you should try it.

The only question I have is how come you don't find mocking the death of humans who died in a tragic accident, offensive?!

The very nature of someone mocking innocent death is offensive.

As Justin Moorhouse said, rivals for coming from about 20 miles away and having different names for bread products

The original banner isn't a cov fan though to be fair

Because I doubt those who created it are smart enough to even stop and think that. Their target isn't those who died but the Leicester fans. It might be misplaced I doubt they'd say it to the actual families but it's an attempt to be humorous not to offend and I don't find that different to jokes about dead celebrities who I also wouldn't share with thir families. Some do find it offensive I get that of course, but doesn't mean we should all think the same, just like anything else in life.

Let's be clear, it's not an attempt to be humorous, it's completely meant to offend.

It's clear not an attempt to be humerus though is it. The whole purpose of the banners is purely to offend and to incite.

I don't want these cunts associated with my club. If you're reading this, stay at home

Couple of things Rob, and I’m not having a go…

You wouldn’t find it offensive would you? Offence is subjective. Obviously you must realise that if you supported Leicester you would find it highly offensive and possibly upsetting. That’s how it works. I’m not for a minute suggesting we need to be nice to Leicester but surely there is a line and this crosses it.

Calling someone a nasty name / mocking the death of someone who died in an accident - how similar are these?

There is a difference between making jokes on an internet forum that almost no one of interest will see, and making a banner to deliberately offend / upset people. You must see this?

The fact you’ve never committed a crime is kind of irrelevant and I also like some dark humour, but I wouldn’t be making a banner displaying stuff right in front of people who might get upset by it. It’s distasteful.

You’d hope so. Although I fear it maybe too late now. I had a feeling this was going to be quite a toxic game what with the posts (from both sets of fans) I’ve been seeing over the last few weeks! I only hope that some of the dick heads we’ve got don’t go down the Jimmy Hill route in response! And more so just hope it doesn’t kick off! Which I hope I’m wrong but I have a feeling it could well do! Even more so now!

Don't know what goes through some people's heads to think doing something like this is OK or in any way banter.

Its bad enough if some pissed / coked up idiot gets carried away at a game and makes an incredibly offensive gesture but to go to the time and effort to make a banner and hang it over a motorway.

Hopefully there's some CCTV and they can be banned and / or get a knock from the police.

Fair point and I get that, but the way some of the responses you'd think I'd made the actual banner. I've not even reshared it, that was the OP, all I said was it didn't bother me it was there. It doesn't. Ah well, I'll leave it now as got to get by dad and go to the game. PUSB

FWIW the banner they left us ‘All Cov Are Bastards’ made me laugh. It’s soft, it’s funny.

This is diabolical though. How to take a “joke” and just be a waste of space prick about it.
Well yeah, that’s what I mean. I have no issue with the incestuous Leicester banners etc, and that All Cov Are Bastards one they did was funny and welcoming 😂(amazed they managed to find the time considering they don’t care about us apparently 😉)

What time is the Leicester flash mob expected to be getting to Dhillons ?
The police are going to be busy today, what with all the marching Muslims in London drawing resources again .
What?

Sorry, my bad articulation. I meant that it was supposed to be humorous to cov fans I assume. I agree it would be intended to be offensive to Leicester, but I meant they hadn't thought about the wider picture of being offensive to the actual targets or families who died. Apologies for confusion. Anyhow, I really must go now.
