When we lost Vik and Gus we got a good fee. With Cal we'd have no money, so worth breaking the structure for. If we have to replace him then we'd be spending £3m and giving £20k per week minimum and it might not work. If Cal wants £1m to sign and £25k per week on a 4 year deal then surely even to a businessman it has value. We should've sorted it out whilst he was injured despite the risk, now he holds the cards, and I don't blame him maximising his worth.
If he does go, then he's won promotion, had an integral cameo last season and goals against Brum and Leicester this season so he goes with our blessing, but let's hope it gets sorted.
