Concourse was deserted prior to kick off have been in that one crossing the rd on the north, don't think Fraser's will like that 30 mins, access terrible going from about six wide down 3-4 then just two.
Bloke on CWR on Friday guest of the week happened to be a steward and said he was surprised the were asked to come for 9-00 instead of 9-30.

I love that there's queues getting in , the concourses are packed , can't get a piss easily , waiting half an hour for food or drink , people don't know which entrance to use to get to their seats and zig zagging to through the concourse cos its packed, it all means we're doing great

Queues outside the turnstiles were pretty mad yesterday. Got there earlier than usual (about 20 minutes before kickoff) and only just made it in on time. Queues over by the Anecdote blocking the entire pathway and at times snaking into the car park…I know it’s a sellout crowd but hard to believe this was how it was designed to go.

Why would anyone leave it until 20 minutes before kick off (when a 30,000 crowd was expected) and expect to get in quickly?

Some see it as a chance to have a few drinks that is interrupted by 22 blokes having a kick about. Same as at concerts with people coming in 10 minutes and later after the start with a tray of beers.

I think its been discussed a few times and I recognise there probably isn't much hope but could it be asked if the club can lobby to get more trains or carriages on from Arena to the city centre post match. The first train after the game is just extremely packed and it's a likely a safety hazard and you can't always get on and I then have to wait an hour or so for the next one. P.s I travel from near Preston so its a long enough day already travelling to and from the game so any opportunity to shorten it would be brilliant. I doubt I'm the only one with a similar frustration. Thought I'd ask anyway :)

Thousands and some on here

I think 30 minutes is reasonable and I know the mind plays tricks on some people but when we were originally at the ground I definitely used to get their with 10 minutes to go and there weren’t issues - we had many big crowds then

Towards the end of Sisu’s reign the issue seemed to be sorted. They opened up the disabled gates and had stewards scanning tickets with handheld devices. Worked brilliantly for a short period.

It’s not just a club problem, harry styles was chaos trying to get in. And I don’t think that can be blamed on his fans not wanting to leave the pub early enough somehow.
Ticket scanning on non turnstile type gates is a big no no ,check out Wembley Euro reports. This leads to potential crowd surge with those with our tickets, it happens at the arena.

how if you are still only letting them in 1 by 1?

Why do the toilets have to have doors and an entrance and an exit? Health and safety?
Doors help when you have low numbers or defects and want to lock down areas, in and out is possibly to allow circulation flow

You can't control gates without an adequate separation set up, open gates with ticket scanning and a person controlling that ingress wouldn't be deemed an appropriate measure.
but it is in no real way different to what happens now

We have turnstiles that only allow one entry per cycle, or they can be locked to restrict tailgating and surge.
but it is still scan and admit much like a hand scanner

unless they are new turnstiles you can tailgate them and the only stopping this is action from a steward. i have seen it happen in the past

people are stopped by a steward before the turnstile and they go 1 by 1 to the turnstile which if you substituted teh turnstile would still be admitting 1 at a time

the current system is not fit for purpose, it's not people turning up late as the chaos is starting earlier and earlier. There were people reporting issues 45 to 50 minutes before kick off on saturday and it got so bad that the security checks had to be suspended

Summarised questions

Forum questions

Opening of the whole ground - aims, plans under new COO. What plans are there to maximise home attendance? What are the clubs plans for the away end at CBS?

What plans are there for organising queuing around entering blocks 14 to 33? Especially the lower number turnstiles?

Block 2-4 has no access - why is this? Customers are having to enter through family zone blocks

What plans are there, if any, to enable junior and senior season tickets to be upgraded to an adult ticket without having to pay full

Price? Or indeed a re-sell process?

What is the reason for only making one block at a time available for purchase for home games?

What is the clubs expectation on allowing an adult friend to use an adult season ticket where the owner is unable to attend?

Are there any plans to sell the balcony seating at a cheaper price? Linked with executive boxes and premium prices - how’s it gone, early plans for 24-25?

Given the record season ticket numbers and the number of games moved from Saturday at 3pm do the club have any plans to maintain their value?

New COO - travel to the arena by bus train plans?

How are negotiations progressing for a longer lease at cbs?

What is the performance directors role?

Accident waiting to happen to the underpass into the shopping centre after the game. The lighting is improved. Can the curbs be removed? Any other safety considerations being considered, moving the temporary fence to widen the area would help.
That’s really good. Thank you

I may be an outlier, but I tend to leave the casino 10-15 minutes before kick off.

Haven't missed the rendition of WLADITT all season.

In at the nearest turnstile and then round to Block 25.

it's not a lot of the issue, as was said issues are happening earlier and earlier

if it is getting bad 50 minutes before kick off the issue is the system not the supporters

Yep turnstiles nearer the north stand are much quicker to the east stand and closer to block 16 entrances

The number of people and getting past these bottlenecks is absolutely happening earlier

Mixture of queue management, security checks and clear guidance where people can enter the venue

It's the turnstiles ability to stop a large crowd surge, the gate doesn't offer that same protection, it happened two fixtures ago when fans forced their way into accessible gat that was opened for a wheelchair user. There are a host of reasons that delays entry, all being looked at. Some are cost prohibitive, as with any capital project.

People are not late, people are turning up half hour before kick off and struggling to get in for kick off due to lack of turnstiles and slow staff. Unless the plan is to make it difficult, so more turn up early and they can make more money on refreshments.

Don't forget, many people have prior commitments, I left work at 11, drove home from Birmingham, shower, changed, got to the stadium at 12, and greeted with a half hour queue. It's a shambles.

Turnstiles nominally allow around 660 person per hour, add ticket/scanning issues, persons not joining back of queues, late walk ups. The searching should have been done before the turnstile entrance point. Refreshments are closed at least 30 minutes prior to KO.

How long would you think it takes to get 14000 into a stand?
I arrived at 12:10 and was in the ground in 10 mins nearer the north stand but it was incredible busy but better organised nearer block 16

So for 14000 people how many turnstiles are you looking to open and are they all open?

I just seems like "let's blame the people for the bad system"

There were people have issues at 11:40/11:50 on Saturday. These people are not late and expect people people to turn up earlier than this is not a real solution.

The queues are a mess because they are allowed to build up so much that they extend all the back and across meaning people have to walk and cut through them.
