Why hasn't the scumbag been named and shamed yet? Their sick 2 at the Bradley photo thing was all out immediately. There will be countless people in and around the club who know who this is is and not coming forward is being complicit imo.

This is what we should be pressing for not short lived gimmicks

Judging by their message board there's a fair few who are ok with what he did.

But the not the majority. Coventry City have racist fans. I've heard them, first time was at Forest Green, 2018.

We have a fair few twats supporting us too. Saw a lot of them on Saturday around the ground and unfortunately always seem to be by them at away matches. I see them at every away and home match. The kind for whom football comes secondary to winding up opposition fans. At the CBS we sit on an aisle seat. Every game some fans come down the stairway, stop and V the away stand, or do the wanker sign or shout obscenities, even though chances are the opposition fans, a) don't care and b) can't hear anyway. Some of these people are adult males in their 40s, 50s, 60s, 70s. It's fucking weird.

I read through all the SWFC thread on Owlstalk and the vast majority rightly condemn the actions of their fellow supporter. I would also do the same if a CCFC fan had acted in a racist manner. I condemn those pricks who made that sign for Leicester City. Of course, there are those on there that will defend their club no matter what so they come out with "I condemn the racism *BUT*..." There is no BUT with racism. I don't' know and I could be wrong, but there will be those on here who think the sign was just "banter", etc.

On the whole Sheffield Wednesday fans like us lot and fans at every other club are decent. I for one thank @SWFC1867 for coming on here and putting his point of view across as a SWFC supporter. Not sure why a few on here are hostile towards him. I have muted them now, so won't have to read their drivel from now on.

I'm going up again on Friday. I just hope our moron minority don't take Saturday's incident and make it all about them and do something equally as stupid.

As I said I think 99.9% of fans are decent and law abiding citizens, but some of the things I see and read (on here and social media) make me wonder sometimes.

As has been said, he have not done anything like that.

Also what does people flicking the V's at away fans have to do with Waffen Wednesday having lots of racist fans?

Fuck them, I'll be there on Friday again and look forward to it.

Yep .. good post and agree with all of that… although I have to confess I did do a wanker sign at the Leics fans as I made my way out last week. I’m 55 and would have looked a prick …. I stand by it though… they are a bunch of wankers. It’s not something I generally do, I reserve it for Leics… so don’t go ignoring my posts Torch 😎

Looking at their forum it seems some now have it in for us. I get the thread about Coventry fans causing trouble on Saturday as I saw it my self, embarrassing. But now it's like, "I missed the bus and Coventry fans were laughing at me", etc etc. That one racist idiot is now going to cause one of those ridiculous concocted "rivalies" we could all do without.

Hat happened? We didn't see any trouble tbh and we had to walk about a mile to the coaches.

It's when this urge for rivalry between football fans overshadows the actual issue. It should be all football fans (of all clubs) who are against racism, condemning people who think this behaviour is OK, regardless of club colours. We have a few ourselves who want to make it about "us" and "them".

I mentioned on a thread on Sunday. There's a small road of terraced houses we had to walk down to get to the stadium. Chippy on on corner, Chinese Takeaway on another. A bunch of Wednesday fans just outside eating their chips when six/seven Cov "fans" in front of us started abusing them, swearing, threatening them, the usual "come on then" gestures. Wednesday fans rightly told them to pipe down. These Cov lot did the same all the way up the street to any Wednesday fan they spotted, even ones with young kids. Real scum.

Absolutely, that is why I'm dreading the game in a way on Friday as some of our fans will go right OTT about it. It will help when this guy is identified, charged and banned.

It’s so fucking weird. 50 year old blokes screaming at 28 year old athletes who would absolutely paste them in a fight too is weird. Must be some kind of outlet because they hate their lives

Ta. Before the game then, even more bizarre.

Not entirely surprising they did it to those with kids as they knew it was a safe bet and probably wouldn't need to fight but would look double hard 👊

Not sure I agree with that. I don't have a problem with people of any age venting their spleen at the fans or opposition players as long as they know where the line is. A certain level of rivalry, tribalism and even incomprehensible bile is even ok, but still no need to make it racist or other discriminatory behaviour and certainly not physical inside or outside.

Surprised he hasn't been named yet, especially as it was captured on the TV cameras as clear as day........
I thought this. Udinese were quick to sort their incident out. Even if they don't name him you'd think Sheff Weds would have announced a ban by now, unless there's a legal reason they can't.

By Monday evening, a 46-year-old was identified as a perpetrator and Udinese followed up a statement condemning racism with another confirming the man will never set foot in the stadium again. His life ban might not be the last as investigations continue.

I think we'd have at least heard something like a "a 28 year old man from Sheffield has been arrested in connection with" even if they can't name etc
