Surely it could be solved by having any kind of priority system? It’s the equivalent of us getting a 50,000 allocation and then having regulars claim they had no chance of getting a ticket.
We are a non-league club, mate. We don't have such technical capabilities

Would have thought it would be easy enough to put tickets on sale a day early for season ticket holders only. If you’re going to sell tickets by just making people stand in a big queue then surely you have the technical capability to ask for a season ticket/ticket stub at the point of sale? Or just make two lines!

That’s exactly what happened. Player families and sponsors in block 6, season ticket holders in 7 and 8. Then general sale for the rest. Two ways of looking at it. Those who live further afield and the blessed 300 who saved the club decades ago should have been taken care of. Or, everyone knows how it works and should do whatever is needed to get a ticket. Choose a position, no nuance allowed.

The club have surely got to open the family stand to all fans now for this one match or else they'll lose out. Clearly season ticket holders in that stand want to watch the game elsewhere in the stadium

After they sell the 8k that are still on sale of course. Loads of spaces 23/24/25/26/27/28?

They were on sale last week to ST holders. Not sure why they aren’t buying them yet?
The 6 season ticket holders either side of us were not taken up against SWFC or Oxford… which makes me think they don’t want to see either City or us. So, anyway, I bought one of their places for the Mrs to come along. His mates don’t seem interested. They have ST’s and have missed half a dozen games this season. Sometime due to work.

I think it will be around 26000 or higher

Fair chance of this happening. The family area may well be a bit sparse but the other areas have about 3-4k left plus the PSB/corporate balcony. It surprises me how many seats were not taken up by ST holders (may have been due to only a couple of days before general release).

We are ST holders who often move for cup games - sometimes we miss the windows to buy them, sometimes it’s because we’re bringing people with us and sometimes just to try sitting somewhere different. Be interesting to know how many don’t come as opposed to buy elsewhere in the ground.

They're saving themselves for a big day at Wembley

No surprises re family area, most night games it's only about 2/3 full at best despite being sold out.

Around 22K sold so far for the game, should be around 26-27K.

Would be excellent for a Monday night. Glad they priced the tickets right. Don’t want to get carried away but a 10-0 romp in front of 22-23k city fans would be one hell of an advert.

Will be lucky to hit 20k in my opinion with it being on TV...

Not much appetite for corporate, family zone mostly unsold - lots of seg.

Around 20,000 have already been sold?

Worth remembering that all blocks have been open for this unlike league matches. East Stand is all but sold out with just singles left. That alone is about 10,000 home tickets.

Not quite sure anywhere near that many sold yet.
Blocks A, C, D, F closed due to another event taking place at the arena so hospitality has to be limited.
Blocks 5, 6, 12 & 13 not open.
Blocks 25, 26, 27 only been half opened.
Family stand 80% empty.

There are 3801 seats (blue dots) available as of now and 5100 before the weekend. Make of that what you will.

Blocks C & D are behind the dugouts where coaches and scouts sit. They are never opened to the public. Block F is Legends lounge. They might move lounges around occasionally with event clashes but not peoples seats.

so it is already much busier than a busy league 1 game when we got 18000 under Mowbray
so add in away fans, and we must be around 23000 minimum
At the moment if you only ever pay on the gate, you cant get a ticket, that is surely an error
Not sure if this will be all ticket, but need to make it easier for the non-regular to get a ticket

It’s over a week to go , seat sales are excellent considering a Monday night on TV towards the end of a month and 3 days after another home match.
It’s the FA cup 5th round, the opposition and their volumous support will create intrigue the nearer it gets. I can see a lot of last minute decision's being made to go up at those prices.

Also, tends to be a bit of FOMO as more advance tickets get sold.

ITV have put it on ITV 4, shows how interested they are in it and looks the same for cov fans looking at the seat map and empty blocks.

Why are you so keen to make it clear that it isn't selling well when it actually is?

I don't know many who have got their tickets yet because they are in now rush. They all paid on the gate for Sheffield Wednesday.

Blocks A, C, D, F have a combined capacity of 500

Block 12 is the segregation block and hasn’t been open once this season. It has a capacity of 450. Block 13 has a capacity of 380.

So all those empty blocks you quoted have a combined 1400 seats. Not exactly a lot.

The corporate blocks hold relatively few seats. 26 and 27 have been fully opened, they sold well before ST release and are pretty much sold out. It's only the very front section of 25 that hasn't been opened. Family area is getting towards 50% full. Away end has 4800 sold, more than we've allocated for years. Besides, was told the figure by somebody at the club. Suspect it's more than that now.
