I would be disappointed if we dont end up with between 7 and 10 goals (subject to taking the foot off the gas at 5)
I agree and it's no disrespecting Maidstone either. We put 6 past a poor Oxford side, we're scoring for fun. Ipswich had nearly 30 attempts. I think our movement and passing will be just too much for them.

I seriously hope that the Maidstone fans at the CBS see a goal for them though! as well as them having an absolutely cracking day out full of fun.

He’s fine. Chatted to the old boy at the next home game. Ipswich stewards were remarkably lenient. He’s lucky some woman broke his fall, even if she is milking it now for compo. Good thing you don’t have a top tier to throw himself off.

I hope she takes the silly c**t to the cleaners.

I bet Ipswich thought they would win comfortably. If we get beat it will be because we are to complacent, and think we will just have to turn up and the goals will flow. On paper we should be looking a 7-0 ish but we are playing on a patch of grass that last time out didn’t look it’s best, big game Friday night.
We need to take this seriously or we could get burnt. Seen it so many times at the city.

that said I’m going for 6-1 just a little better than Oxford
I would sincerely hope that what happened to Ipswich will ensure there is no complacency on our part.

If we did come unstuck, I think it would be more likely down to team selection/formation.

I do expect us to win but think they’ll give us a tougher game than most are expecting.
I am going for a 3 v 1 win.

Oh, he’s a silly old tw*t. But more than a few Ipswich fans were upset she went to the Sun and talked about it being like a war zone and aggressive fans. It’s not like that at Portman Road, and it seems she just wanted a cup of tea.

I'd be pretty fucking miffed if some boozed up idiot threw himself on top of me.

Yeah I’m sure they’re devastated

Hope she makes a packet out of it, good for her

How was the Maidstone fan who fell out of the stand at Ipswich 🤔 I’ve not really seen anything about it since, so I presume he didn’t sustain any serious injuries.
Fuck him. It was deliberate. He didn't give a shit about who was below.

If anyone here is happy with 2-0 over these then you may as well forget about any kind of play-off push then.
Wtf!!!!

Are you seriously thinking we are putting out our strongest 11, and are you honestly suggesting Maidstone players won't play like their lives depend on it?
Did their result at Ipswich not show what they are capable of?
And they've had a full week to prepare.

Do you even remember Sutton utd?
Clearly you have absolutely no notion of cup football.

What's her height got to do with it, and is she suing for the cup of tea she didn't get?

Bizarre story.

I haven’t actually seen any suggestion she’s suing anyone so not sure why this has riled so many people.

No way we are putting our strongest team - got huge game against WBA.

front line of Tavares / godden / youth team player
Behind them palmer / Kelly / Lati

plenty good enough.

also if some of the young lads on bench are not deemed good enough to play some part against conference north standard team, then there really isn’t a future for them at the club. One of the lads on bench is 21 / the ex spurs youth team lad - he has to start/play large part in this.

We aren't starting random youth team players

Not saying start random youth team players - there’s 3/4 now regularly on bench. If they are not deemed good enough to play against this standard - there’s a problem.
Lusala was on loan to a midtable club a level below Maidstone last season. He isn't good enough.

People need to understand that the majority of the players in our youth setup right now are just making up the numbers.

None of them a winger who could play in a 3 with Godden and Tavares

Wouldn’t mind seeing Dasilva at LW against Maidstone, as he hasn’t played a ton of football this year and LB is one of the easiest positions for us to rotate in the subsequent games.

Football doesn’t work like that, if we are daft enough to throw in a load of kids who haven’t played in the limelight and in front of a big crowd , against a team who will know how to rough them up and bully them then this could end in tears. I’ve seen it all before .

Yeah, he is easily good enough to do that job against Maidstone.
