Jesus, they show the teams at the top of the table first and show the games in order from league position. It's not rocket science!

Amazing really isn't it?

I notice we got a whole behind the scenes tour, interview etc when Robins took charge for the first time, none of that for Hartlepool though.

Bloody BBC and their anti-Hartlepool bias.

they are a bunch of idiots!

calling Baker Bailey and going on to say Mcgoldrick became the 1st player for 81 years to score in 5 consecutive games!! errrmmmm im sure he didnt score last week?? and im sure Mick Quinn scored in his 1st 6 games in 1992?? and to top it all off they call our legend Clarrie Bourton "Burton"

now if they had said 5 consecutive away games...

mongs.

Not convinced there's any anti-Cov bias - they are a side at the arse end of the third division after all. A commentator getting a player's name wrong is unforgivable though...

I completely disagree. Even when we were doing 'average' in the championship, we have never had a fair showing. I cannot stand Maniche. Smug little Coventry hating git.

People actually think there's anti cov bias? I thought that was a joke? How ridiculous.

They are pretty poor when it comes to us though. Even after they'd got Bakers name right gor two goals, they go on to call him Bailey for the assist! Thats ofetty poor reporting imo! Had it been the first thing he'd done, i may allow it!

You only notice it because it's our team though, they probably do that for everyone. I remember once last season where the announcer referred to Jobi McAnuff as Hal Robson-Kanu and vice-versa.

It's just a badly researched show all round.

This is probably true, but im sure non cov supporting folk can see the big number 8 on a players back and wonder 'wasnt his name Baker earlier?'

To be honest it was Manish last season who really wound me up on that show. The consensus would always be that teams who spent way more than they had were 'doing ever so well', and those who were skint (cough cough), 'really should be doing better'. Claridge's analysis is superficial, but at least he has the experience to back up some of what he says-Bhasin just seems to be a standard journalist who likes football.

I doubt any non cov fans were paying any attention at all. I only watch it (well sky+ it) to see my team's goals. I expect most fans do the same.

It's not just the football. The Beeb do it with everything.

I remember once last year on the news they called David Cameron a politician.

Not saying it's not wrong. Just find it highly unlikely that anybody other than a cov fan would have noticed the bailey/baker error.

No non-coventry fan would have the first idea who our number 8 is or paid a blind bit of notice that it was he that scored a moment earlier!

The show is poorly researched and guaranteed they make similar errors every week to loads of club.

There is no anti- coventry bias! - not that i am suggesting you personally said there was. You may have done but i can't be arsed to check.

I wasnt suggesting any non cov fan would know who our number 8 was; im just saying any one watching the highlights would see number 8 bring the ball down for the second goal, and also see the same number 8 running at the defence to set up Moussa (for example)! Not that they would say 'oh yeah, thats Coventry's number 8, Carl Baker.....' and so on...

Ive not actually said they are anti-Coventry, but it does seem that way alot of the time. Same as Midlands today; now they DO hate us!
