If they are doing 1 per season ticket and they have enough to have 10k spare even if every season ticket holder buys 1 then why on earth would they need to do points for the season ticket holder section? Solves no issues and creates more problems.
I'm just thinking that it stops Ticketmaster falling over like it always does.

Genuinely think it will just be similar to the PO final last year, first window STH's with any amount of points & then non STH's with 200+ points, then finally anyone with purchase history to be the "general sale" for whatever is left.

I think this as well, because then all ST holders have the option to sit next to each other if they want. And there's obviously more than enough for one per ST holder, so why bother tiering it.

It just definitely won't be 2 per STH as it encourages re-sale and people who haven't followed the club turning up.

I'm looking at it slightly selfishly too as I don't have a ST this year as paying to get married took priority for me. I still have over 1000 points though through following home and away for years. Is it right that people like me miss out because Mr first time season ticket holder wants to take his Man U mate?
you will be fine lol there were people with 150 points who were not ST holders who went last year..

I just also think the majority of our hardcore away support should take up the majority of the bottom tier behind the goal. By doing a tiered system even for STH they can all guarantee to get that space then get the atmosphere going.

Nah, that's not enough of an issue to justify it.

It would be madness to have points during the season ticket section.

We were there for both 2 play off finals anyway.

But this would also mean that the fan at the bottom of the food chain won’t be able to sit with family and friends!
Do they want to be there or not? Chances are most people will have to compromise where they sit.

Play off final we had two tickets together, with two other tickets in different locations.

you could and still can assign tickets to people in your network meaning there is no need to sit apart

More like 5k but the point stands

Problem with that is that many fans who sit together may not have the same points . Unless I have misread your thoughts.
It would get complex but what if you could buy a ticket for someone in your network who was in a lower tier?

how many actual season tickets do we have? I am not including half season tickets.
DK said 19.5k on TalkSport yday. That may include halves tho, full was something like 18k I think so 6k left for the point holders to hold a full scale battle royale over.

or you just do what they did last year where there weren't issues and have 1 season ticket window

the point system is to ration tickets where the demand outstrips supply, as the supply is less than demand i.e. number of season ticket holders then what rational is there to use it?

Last season It wouldn't let me do it and was ordering off two phones. It's the way it panned out. Nobody complained they just wanted a ticket. Sorted the linked accounts for this year thanks.

that'll be why they have been loud about sorting out your networks in plenty of time.

I was thinking for groups where not all have a ST but have enough points to purchase in a later tranche. But you’re right, the poster I replied to was talking about groups of ST holders.

I’m not arsed but there will be a lot of people sat next to strangers , that takes a large chunk of the days experience away! Just saying

Could we do 1 per ST holder, and then have 15k empty seats for Man Utd fans to stare at all game.

I hope they have a wash and smarten themselves up , and please don’t embarrass us fans and club by wearing them silly scarfs and hats , I’m sick of telling people they’re from a special need’s hospital on a day out . And I don’t mean any offence to people with mental issues .

The club should definitely stagger the sales windows for ST holders with points. I am talking a 24 hour window each for 1400pts+, 1200+, 1000+ etc etc. If they stagger the windows by only a few hours, or if the points brackets are too large, then everyone will log on at the same time anyway and it will cause massive queues. It also means the hard core of our support will get their pick of the lower tier seats while the boring farts will all be out of the way in the upper tier.
I think stager it for this reason. Site was a nightmare for PO final kept bouncing us out while trying to find seats.

For me it's the atmosphere of the stadium. I'm not very talkative during the game. I can chunter there and back on the coach.
Everyone one is different I accept that. But there will have to be compromises. I normally like to sit near halfway line. But I accept I might have to sit in a totally different location?

The other alternative for anyone is stay at home.

Do you get loyalty points for home games?

I had a ST during the COVID season -but havent been able to get one since. Been to quite a few single tickets and a couple of away games with my Dad - but he's on 0 loyalty? Did I not link it correctly - or do you not get anything for home games?

TSx
