Firstly, it's obvious we need to keep McG, keeping Bailey would be nice, but McG is #1 priority, obviously.

When doing my Starting XI thread, I was looking for a winger to put on the bench, I had no one (hence why I put Hussey), so we need a winger, or a youngster to step up (I'd prefer that to be honest!), secondly, I think we need a LB as well, Blair looks promising, I'd like to keep him for the rest of season, but failing that, we need a LB or a miracle from Hussey to turn it around, unlikely, so a LB would be nice.

In short, in Jan, if we can, I hope we can get:
McG
Bailey
Winger
LB

Optimistic, I know, but the latter 2 will prob be loans.

We sort this out, we could get top 6, maybe top 2!

I'm led to believe we could get him on a free, nominal fee max. (Bailey)

If McG doesn't sign, I fear we'll rely on Cody, because I can't see someone of McG's quality becoming available, in our price range anyway!

We'll wait and see, I'd like him to do really well, but I can't see, should be given a chance though.

Yeah, definitely. Especially due to the fact he has only been here 4 years. He's still pretty much a newbie.

I definitely think we should give him yet another final, final chance. Not like we need to save the wages or anything is it.

Bell will do ok in this league. He won't set it alight but he can do a decent job I'm sure

The quality of the squad beyond the starting 11 is still a problem. When McG goes we're left with Cody, Ball, Elliot and ROD and its clear Robins doesn't particular rate them...ROD is now above Ball and Elliot in the pecking order.

Left back is a concern, robins clearly doesn't rate hussey brought in Reckord, didn't rate him, played Clarke then decided to bring Adams.

Brown, Kilbane and henderson (who'll be going anyway) are totally out of the picture, so in midfield it's hoping Thomas is fit or dropping moussa into defensive midfield which he has looked very poor at.

Won't need Bailey when Conor Thomas is back fit again.
Save the money for DMC or a replacement goalscorer.

I disagree. They both offer different things imo. Bailey has transformed our midfield since his arrival. Appears to have a good partnership with Jennings now, and even when he doesnt have the greatest of games, he comes back the bext game and makes up for it.

Hes out of favour at Derby as Clough doesnt appear rate him so if we can sign him up, then i say do it.

We are going to have to offload a few players though. I can see ROD, and Hussey being on the offload list. Malaga obviously is out of favour. Bell is a difficult one as he'll want to make an impression but I think hes had one too many injuries and needs a fresh start elsewhere. Just a shame he's tied down for as long as he is with us!

We can't afford to have players like Bell at our club,, his ability is not a problem but picking up decent wages for playing 70 games in 3 1/2 years is.. This player averages 20 games a season since he became pro and never looked like this is going to change.. We need him out and put this money into players like Bailey, Moussa and Mcgoldrick other than pay this man to stay on the physio table or rehab room. Not his fault but his body is not up to playing at pro level,, shame but facts are there for all to see,,, get rid,, use the wages in a more useful way... And if he can take Hussey, Kilbane, Malaga and O Donovan with him we will be better squad for it...
