I thought the whole point of Brum Council selling that desolate wilderness to Blues was to try and realise their assets so they have a chance of paying their bin men!
That horrible little Street bloke will be all over it if he can be. They can’t have got a lot for that land it’s a appalling area.

Why the hatred of Andy Street?

The sale of the land will be nothing to do with him. He's the mayor of the West Midlands, not Birmingham.

John Lewis, with its admirable ownership model, was a roaring success when he ran it. Its been a disaster since he stood down and I will be surprised if it lasts another five years.

He’s a self publicist who makes his very small achievements seem like massive changes to the world. He will have a lot of sway in Birmingham as they are the biggest stakeholder in the West Midlands and is playing his games with our money. John Lewis was successful before him he continued it on but did he plan for the future I don’t know?

Wonder why John Lewis is struggling?

Yep, I know some people who have worked on projects and he likes to swoop in at the end, have his picture taken and swoop back out again.

Ah, so he's a politician then! 🙂 I think they are pretty much all like that.

I guess I don't hear him much because I live in Leicestershire and he doesn't feature on East Midlands TV.

I have heard him a couple of times on national radio recently and he sounded OK to me, as politicians go.

Anything is possible but interestingly, under Andy Street's leadership, they were doing very well after the financial crash.
The growth of online shopping has bashed them it is almost as if it came as a shock to their leaders, to give him his due he was better than the woman that followed

Need to stop letting yanks take over English clubs , they're fucking morons that don't understand what tradition and football culture is
Disgraceful and typical these 2 cringe clubs would be the ones trying it.

There’s no indication in the article that Wrexham’s owners were even suggesting it/up for the idea in the interest of fairness

Deadpool is Canadian isn't he , he gets a small pass
Tbh my gripe with Wrexham isn’t that big - They’re marketing them well and pulling their money in through sponsorship with blue chip companies as opposed to funnelling their own money in

Aren't they owed about £10m from Wrexham?

Fuck them, I find Blues well funny at the moment.

Totally oblivious to their hedge fund owners using them as a vehicle for a massive land grab.

They got them relegated but it's sound because they've got a CGI image of a 70 thousand seater and he buys them a Carling

Proper club apparently...

It's funny watching them Americanise and lap it up. Give it a few years and they'll be throwing pigs on the pitch

Give it 5 years and they'll be known as the Birmingham Peaky Blinders

I am gobsmacked at their reaction to it on their forum. Many of them liking the idea and talking about how it raises their profile.

This is Birmingham City fans too. They spend every given hour telling everyone how they are a proper club, working class blah blah blah.

A lot has been said about Doug since he arrived and how people are going too far by singing his name. This is on another level. This lot are so brainwashed by their new owners giving them a a cheap pint and a fancy sponsor that they are now willing to allow their team to play in another country.

Wouldn't be a proper circus if it wasn't full of clowns. Well, I say full...

Brum as such a weird club, I don't particularly go out of my way to dislike them, but fukkinell they don't half make it hard. I'm still waiting for their statue of Jude, just the absolute epitome of tinpot. Normally, I could at least empathise with the fans having to deal with circus owners, but they actually like the idea?!

Then again, an excuse to get out of Small Heath isn't the worst thing in the world.
