I'd rather we went out the cup next season early if people are going to use it as an excuse for shitty late season performances btw
It's absolutely not an excuse.

The worst thing about it is that the players didn't look to give a shit, laughing and joking at the end cuddling their players. They should be fucking fuming too.

I'm not writing players off from 1 game, what I am questioning is how on earth can we consider a promotion push next year with players with such poor mentality? It's the most important aspect to achieve anything in this league, and this game along with others does make me question a lot of players bollocks when the pressure would really be on
Sign a couple of strong characters , decide on a regular captain and that changes .

Robins can't dress this up in anyway, it was fucking dogshit and gutless from every one of them.
Those players were saying I am not going to get injured or put in a derby style performance.. They made us look uninterested and incapable of making a crunching tackle. What worried me was players like Torp were playing for a Wembley place. We had one eye on Wembley and are not good enough to cruise through games. Only thing is, I don't think we would have caught Norwich who are winning most games anyway.

This team isn’t ready for the playoffs anyway. Like we’ve all said for months, next season is the one.

This team is still mentally weak. They’ve bottled it in the same way that we did in 21-22. That team were then far stronger in the following season and made the playoffs.

A trip to Wembley is not an excuse, and if it were possible I’d drop every player next week that wasn’t giving their all today because of that.

Not holding out any hope for some on this forum to temper their expectations for Wembley.
It's the hope that kills. It has to be remembered that Man U are equally capable of throwing in some real horror show performances. Realistically it would be a big shock but by no means is it impossible

To be fair, Blackburn lost 5-0 to Bristol, and then won away at Leeds. It's the time of the year isn't it.
Yeah weird result season.

I think we're knackered tbh. I'm tired of the season now too, seems to have gone on forever.

Been some brilliant moments and maybe one or two more to come as well and we can't let the immediate anger of such a shot performance taint what's been a fairly exciting rebuild job

Today, Rotherham, Preston, both games vs Cardiff

Been some really low lows this season.

High highs of course with Wolves, Leeds and Leicester but you have to wonder how a team capable of being so good are also capable of being so horrendously bad.

It was exactly the same last season and the season before.

Yet Prem budget Southampton still needed 2 very debatable goals and us to miss a penalty to get a result.
The performance against them was also very poor, but at least some fight was shown in the second half. It was pathetic today from start to finish and the reaction at the end was not what I'd expect from players who've just properly blown a top 6 challenge against a shit local rival. They almost found it funny

I note that quite a number of our fans are saying they think we'll be challenging for the autos, but I think the reality is that we ought to be looking at getting into the top 6 (still won't be easy). That said, some people messaging CWR 'asking for my money back for my semi-final ticket, Mr King' on CWR are feckin' tw&ts.

Nobody has said it's a bad season, we've done alright. what we are saying is that that's beyond pathetic if we actually do have an eye on next week whilst playing in a play off push game against a local rival.
You can't tell me this group doesn't care. We had an off day against a team battling relegation in the batshit crazy world of the last five games of the Championship. Freak results are common place at this stage, its an overreaction for people to call out professionalism and attitude after 1 thumping in my opinion. Given the run we've been on since New Year.

We do not have a comfortably selected number 1 keeper. A position that needs addressing.
Collins is fine, his stats are decent. Had a few errors but only a couple, get someone else in to complete next season if we can shift Wilson.

To suggest Moore is the answer is mad

Genuine question, did you watch it?

It is what it is. We've struggled once again against a hard working press, just like against Preston. Birmingham were excellent and if they do anything like that in the next few weeks they'll comfortably stay up. That's exactly what they do every season.

It's a building season and we are getting there. Some brilliant moments in recent months and some eye-openers for Robins to sort.

We need another 2/3 big signings and let go those we are carrying.

Wembley next week. We'll enjoy a party. Many teams, including ourselves until recently, can go 50+ years without going to Wembley. That's what football is about.

At least the players made it abundantly clear that they don't care about trying to make the play offs. Now the fans sitting on the fence can choose not to attend remaining fixtures too.

Cov fans were shit today too.
It must be hard trying to cheer that performance though

We’ve been inconsistent recently, boils down to squad size and the quality of the squad.

Ran out of gas

needs addressing with some substantial additions to the squad

We’ll beat United. I don’t know why in convinced of this. They’ve always got a horror performance. I think they turn up to Wembley like we did today.
We’re winning or we’re getting tonked imo, I can’t see it being 2-1

I have the same funny feeling too, like I had a bad feeling about today

Nobody was actually suggesting that. If you want to twist it into that, then cool. But there’s no gulf between them all, as is often suggested.

If we’re only getting someone in to “compete” with Collins, then it’ll be poor business. Robins is on local and national record saying he doesn’t have a number 1.
