Right......with all these posts about Tim Fisher, ACL etc. I don't understand any of them, it's like reading Chinese as soon as numbers get involved. Can someone on here please put in thicket terms what's currently going on behind the scenes at Coventry, I know there's a lot of fans like me that love the club and support them week in week out on the pitch but have no idea what goes on behind the scenes....if someone could put a few bullet points about what's going on and a summary of how worried / best case / worst case scenarios I'd very much appreciate it !

Thanks lads, CovisGod

Trouble is, people can only read between the lines because only Fisher is coming out with this stuff about the bank etc.

We owe ACL. ACL are in heavy debt, the bank will step in.

At least that's what Fisher is trying to put across. Sounds like he's scaremongering to me to try and force some hands.

Job done.

The good thing about the Memorial Park too is there are no sky blue seats for the players to get lost against.

Hopefully David Bell and ROD will have finally found their level and will come good.

maybe we should support fisher vs acl?

ccfc are the priority not fukin ACL

just putting it out there:pimp:

Got to agree with that, I support the club, not SISU, not the council, not some faceless stadium operators, who on one hand are moaning that their football based revenue and blindly announce the amount of rent we pay is not having an effect on the club.

lets take ACL's advise and reduce the amount of money we pay out in wages, inevitably we drop further down the league, so what do you think will happen with their football based income?

What's your answer then? Sisu pay about £10 to play there? If that happens acl go bust, Yorkshire bank step in, rent goes through the roof.

there is a nice little pitch behind the Tesco petrol station, we could play there

I used to play LB or RB pub level, good at... slide tackles, long throw on and penalties, but too fat/old to be a wing back

AFC Coventry here we come, debt free, level 7

SISU are hard negotiators with a flexible strategy. Doesnt have to be an endgame anytime soon. Will have already told Robins he cant keep McGoldrick. Taken a gamble that it will annoy him off but he will stay. We also look odds on to stay up which for SISU is a good result this year.

Yes technically right of course...

I was referring to the inevitable phoenix CCFC that would rise again should that dire scenario ever occur

That's exactly right. Of course CCFC will still exist. Just under a different guise.

it wont be the same no matter how you want to romantacise it

we wont be ccfc for one, it will afc or something else

we wont have a good ground

the kit will be cheap, players even worse than what we have seen recently

crowds worse off, only hardcore and drunks will be there

no guarantees we will even have our beloved badge

will i support them? sure

do i want too? hell no

i hope sisu get their way and council can go rot,as long as coventry city football club does well out of it.

I think one of the reasons the trust has reinvented itself is to secure the name CCFC through some sort of covenent.

Good god,how old are you? 10? We wouldn't be. in this mess if sisu paid what they owe, what part of that don't you understand?

WHICH PART OF THAT DID I EVER DENY?

IM NOT SAYING I LIKE SISU,IM NOT ABSOLVING THEM OF BLAME,i am just saying if its better for ccfc to have sisu win this particular battle then i am all for it.

If a new club rises in Coventry and it is the only one.. is it not essentially the same thing? I mean it is the football club representing Coventry isn't it? Maybe if this were to happen there might still be a deal we can do to stay at the Ricoh and with some decent support then we should fly up the divisions - don't get me wrong this is not what I want but if it did happen then for me emotionally I'd have the two linked in my head as one and the same

essentially yes but i doubt we would play at the ricoh

also we wouldnt technically be past fa cup champions and would have no history at all.

id rather our current team stays in existence

p.s robins wouldnt manage a phoenix team :(

Fair enough I agree nor do I - it's just the dreaded IF that's hanging over us at the moment. Also don't discount the help I think we would get from the council IF it happened I mean not cash but they hold the keys to the arena and they need a decent club don't they at some point? It would be a strong argument

if council wanted to help they would give us the ground back now

they dont care.

Give it back??

It's not ours (SISU's never was) - they can't, why should they?

They won't help SISU now - no more than they have offered, who's to say they wouldn't help out a different entity they actually believed in and could work with?

covcity4life

it shoukld be ours, its a football pitch

work out a cheap deal

they want the profits though

makes business sense, but lets not preted they care about ccfc

if they had worked out a deal with sisu from the getgo we could be in prem right now with profit making ability

What planet are you on? You seriously havent got a clue have you. Yes let's give in to the bullies at sisu,6 months down the line theyll want something else for nothing.

covcity4life
