Are People Moving? (3 Viewers)

Possibly because fans preference was only one of several criteria. If fans had expressed an overwhelming preference to have safe standing on the roof or in the directors box, would It have happened?
The why are they advertising it as listening to the fans and advertising they have "made singers corner safe standing"

Then there would be significant evidence that more standing provision is needed, and the club should act on that.

There are 2,700 standing tickets, block 13-16 total is 3k ish, so capacity seems pretty in line with the current amount of people that stand.

But it could increase as there's a sizable influx coming from the North Stand and other areas. Some people who previously were unable to stand due to where they were.

I'm buzzing for next season now. Used to hate how 13 was closed as it limited those who want to add to the atmosphere. We're going to have 4/5 solid blocks of people standing and joining in with the atmosphere.

If we can get 25,000 home fans in there every week it should be rocking.

Think it only looks slow to some people because all the existing seats in the other blocks show as sold even if they haven’t been renewed.

How many people normally renew on day one when they have weeks, and another payday, before they have to get it sorted

There is nowhere in the article on the offal which says “listened or listening to the fans” or that they have made singers corner safe standing

I got in quick to move from 25 to 13.

Reason being I need an aisle seat, as I get embarrassed about making people stand up to let me through 5 minutes into the second half because it takes so long to get a pint at half time.

Decided to move from 16 to 11, wanted to get together with a few people who are buying for the first time for a few seasons, plus didn't want to risk a possible crack down on standing in block 16.

SC will simply extend behind the goal, so could be great potentially. On that note, really hope they look to reverse TV cameras. This is the view from the TV gantry for the commonwealth games, proving a. that it can be done and b. that it would create a completely different impression of the club for those watching.

True, i renewed earlier than I normally would for that reason, but I was only able to do that as I downgraded from PLP to standard season ticket. If I'd not done that I'd have had to email the club. Couple of people I go with looking to move and renew PLP and are waiting for a reply before they can do that.

where did they film that from, the balcony? there's not actually a tv gantry on that side is there which I guess makes it more complicated unless they decide to permanently close off the balcony

Yeah, they set it up in the middle block of the balcony, but still used the rest of it so a minimal loss of seats.

Have bought a ST for the first time in years and got one of the safe standing ones in block 11. Surely anyone who gets a SS ticket is there for the atmosphere etc so it should be good. Also should we get promoted those places will be prime locations and would have that reserved in the bun fight for them should the miracle happen!

Isn't one of the issues with the balcony it actually seats more than the safe capacity of the corporate bit? If so that could be a good idea to use the middle block
The usual response is, they like to film the Dug Outs, but no reason they couldn't just have one camara man focused on that....and the main one on the balcony as suggested.
Also would free up room for several more sought after seats on the halfway line.

I've heard this before but I'm certain more stadiums are the other way round.

In the Premier League most dugouts are behind the camera. Think of United, Chelsea, Man City, Tottenham, Arsenal, Liverpool etc.

We've moved to Block 11 next season due to the TV camera that appears in Block 23 for televised games. Blocks a sizeable part of the view down the left wing. Club have said the camera won't be moving, so we did. They should really sell those tickets as restricted view for games broadcast on TV!

I like the idea of moving the TV gantry but I think of that upper tier, the seats level with the halfway line are the ones that are usually occupied

You just go in the the club to transfer a PLP package to a new seat at the old rate, I did it for my dad this morning.

That’s bollocks, United, Liverpool, Man City, arsenal, Chelsea, Newcastle all have the camera on the side of the dugouts. Can think of very few the other way.

Renewed for the season but decided to move from family zone to block 11. Couldn’t be done with the new conditions for being in the FZ. Looking forward for being over that side/corner of the ground

Found out the blokes who sat next to us moved somewhere else when I saw their seats were free today, kind of gutted really. Sound lads. Must have thought we were cunts.

Don’t know their names, hugged them both double figure number of times after we scored this season.

Footy hey

From 18 to 11. No problem with 18, fancied a change and enjoy sitting behind the goal ish. Dragging myself and my Arsenal supporting son (the royal 'we' has been dropped a couple of times lately, I'm working on him) from the south coast. We wont make all the games, far from it, but such is life. Looking forward to meeting my new neighbours...

I was the same when I was a kid. My dad wasn’t into football so supported a team from TV, which was Arsenal. Then a family friend took me up the city for my birthday (8th I think) and haven’t looked back since. So glad as can’t imagine anything worse than supporting a ‘big 6’ club.

He has an excuse, he was born in sight of the Emirates. I was born nowhere near Cov… 😂
