After 46 games where you finish is where you deserve. Ninth and 9 points adrift . Yes the FA cup defeat undoubtedly effected us but let's say we'd have taken a few more points we'd have struggled to finish 6th.
It was the lack of squad depth not the cup run that affected us. With a few more players the cup run would have boosted our form.

Lots of noise about McCallum going to Stoke according to a Norwich fan I know. Would be disappointed if he went there. Assumed if we wanted him, it would basically be a done deal

With all due respect if he’s going to stoke over us in my opinion it’s clear what the motivation is

they’ve finished in the bottom half every year since they got relegated, bang average club

I’d hope he’d choose us; good player

I would like us to sign McCallum, but if we do we have to be sure of offloading Bidwell or Dasilva. Perhaps the club feel they can't commit to the signing at this time in case we can't get rid, and end up having an imbalanced squad at the start of next season including 3 left backs.

Think Stoke will be able to offer more money than us with their rich backers. I get the feeling Stoke finally have a manager who will push them up the table.
That said, for McCallum, I think Adi would put his career back on track, He went for a big fee (at the time) for a reason. His potential.

Well since they arrived in this division they’ve had the money and managers who should have got them high up the table and pretty much they’ve always underachieved.

This time may of course be different but we’ve seen it before. Like Chelsea, by the law of averages they’ll strike lucky eventually.
