I’m sorry but they will not close the ground down. Utter nonsense.
I don't think this will happen because if the council threaten closure. The club and SAG would soon take action.
I just hope that if it comes to this the ones who are saying they are going contiue standing don't think the authorities will back down they won't.

Looking back at last seasons comms. Tickets went on sale 3rd May, 9k sold by 7th June, 13.7k sold by 23rd June. I’d say the 10k we have now with 20% new purchasers is pretty good.
Is that right ? We sold 17500 by the end of early bird hadn't we

Edit : just looked this is true

I agree don’t know what the whingers are on about ffs
There’s some weirdos on here, Pete.

They will be whinging when they want to move to stand closer to away fans and find that it’s all occupied by the 2,000 who have never had a season ticket before.

I'd argue that maybe doug could have afforded supporters 2 paydays to get early bird prices , should have ended it first week of July... 19th of June is the current date

Doesn't it normally get extended?
Makes sense to take it up to past pay day in June.

Went on sale 3rd May last year and passed 10K on 8th June, went on sale 13th May this year and passed 10K on 22nd May. Not sure how anyone could translate that into sales are poor.
They are poor sales, need to sell 7500 in a couple of weeks to match last years sales by by early bird ending day. Can’t see us shifting that.

So we’ve sold 10k in a week but you can’t see us selling 7k in 4 weeks??

3 of us havent got them yet but will be getting them. Just havent got round to it and given seats are held for a while i imagine plenty are the same

A lot of people surely waiting for payday. Bodes pretty well for sales.

I'm sure we're all pretty guilty at times at being negative about looking forward, comes with the Cov territory! But this looks good, especially the new joiners (myself included) - who should easily replace any losses due to the FZ changes. Hopefully we fly past last years sales numbers and the place is rocking again next season!

To match or better last seasons sales would be some effort from the fans. I wasn't sure it could be done, but the announcement of over 10k so far with 2k new holders bodes well to at least match it.

Be great to keep the club moving forward and improving on and off the field. Hope Robins and Adi walk into the next meeting with Doug and Austin with news of a nice big budget to go get the targets needed and wanted. And get the season off to a flyer...
