Starting a rumour because I'm bored:

Chelsea are sending us Harvey Vale on loan. England U20 international. Was at Bristol Rovers last season where he played LB, LWB and even some RW, recording 2 goals and 5 assists.

Welcome Harvey.
Thank you. I was thinking how far fo I have to scroll down for some transfer news.

I like him and has always been their best player but that’s not hard

key is whether he can get a proper end product, we don’t need another number 10 who’s very good on the eye but doesn’t contribute enough when it matters in terms of goals and assists, we have one already

but overall I’d be happy with rudoni
I remember watching him on two different occasions and thinking who's that little skillful blonde prick taking the piss out of our players during both games we were battering Hudds. I never thought to look who it was nor did i even remember who he was until we were linked to the name "Rudoni" and i thought this was a Caribbean or African player. It was only until the name kept getting thrown about i went on youtube to see who the player was, boom it was the same lad.

100% this lad would be an upgrade on Kasey. My only issue with him is we need someone that only wants to feed in Wright and Simms unless they are both playing shite. Rudoni from 2 games I saw him play against us looked like a player that wanted to be the main man. This may well be because his team mates are absolutely shite.

I would take him all day long tho! be a class player for us.

Really don’t want Rudoni. Think he’ll be another AM with no end product and we’ve just got rid of one of them. We need better at the price he’ll cost.
Yeah his stats very much indicate this, just have to factor in who he is playing for an he is only 22

He’s made it quite clear he will get the club as close to sustainable as he can. The more successful that process is the more attractive prospect it will be and he should be able to offload for a considerable profit.

I don’t think not getting promoted within the 5 year plan is the disaster it’s being made out to be.
100% agree with this what King has brought to the club is someone who wants to own the club, willing to reinvest transfer fees and a bit more of a sensible head in transactions. He isn't going to be throwing money at the club but I'm ok with that. The stadium is what it is King seems fine with renting not sure if that will change at some point but I think he doesn't see the stadium as the biggest fire to put out.

I’m not sure that would do their accounts any favours.
Possibly. Could be useful for tax purposes though. Points for and against for doing it, though the for seem to me to be more liquid which is a big incentive.

Just wondered if it was actually a potential thing they could do.

Was this after we’d signed Torp as well? Sorry I can’t remember the details.

by my rough count we’ve spent the Vik and Gus count but the margin of error on fees both ways is huge so who knows
This was after Torp, but before the EMC deal was completed.

Your rough count is the same as mine - indicating we’ve spent all of the Gyok and Hamer money - but of course those are public figures and are likely inflated - we happen to know the exact Gyok fee because the Portuguese teams have to report it.

But yeah I’d imagine anything beyond a few million would be net new spend. Feel like ideally we need to spend 10-15M to round off the squad as best we can.

Rudoni would be an excellent signing but zero chance King funds that. Our new 10 will be another randomer from abroad.

Worrying start to the window missing out on McCallum and Browne it has to be said

worrying? It’s not even June yet and the transfer window opens mid June. We potentially missed out on a couple of frees. Standard championship players who are decent but not world beaters. One position being left back which we already have bidwell and dasilva. I struggle to see the worry.

standard this forum if we signed both Doug would probably be accused of not spending any money and going for cheap free transfers.

People need to chill out.

I bet we miss out on 10+ players every summer. A lot of the time there is a team willing to pay more than you think they’re worth. There is also a ton of other considerations (location, career move etc)

Doesn’t mean we won’t sign good players.

What utter rubbish.

How on earth is it worrying?

Once again, I remind everyone and myself that Football is an outlet for undiagnosed anxiety disorders. The post-season void just gives people less news to focus on so there's less molehills to make mountains out of.

I’ve been querying King in this thread - but why is it worrying? Browne hasn’t signed for anyone yet.

I am not that fussed by him either

Some people's transfer policy on here is sign our old players back or someone who has had a half decent game against us once upon a time

I’ve heard Leicester and Leeds have both sent O’hare contract offers of which are on ludicrous wages that we should never match, we’re talking life changing money similar to maybe even more than Burnley offered (as Im not sure how much Burnley offered him)

It is surprising that his new destination hasn’t been confirmed yet.

If we can't get McCallum Martin Frese from Nordsjaelland at left back is on a free, seems to be well rated. Would guess he'll be off to Norwich as that's where Nordsjaelland gaffer is going though.

Slight over reaction at best.

We've picked up gems from abroad since we've been back in the Championship; Sakamoto, Hamer, Torp..

It's two months until the season starts again, it's three months until the window ends and remember McCallum we've already sold once, why would be so desperate to have him back again?

Calm down.

Seen as we’re looking more towards the A-League, I’ve compiled a list of young players we should be looking at for the first team/development.

Alex Paulsen
Nicolas Milovanovic
Jacob Farrell
Jake Hollman
Ben Old
Finn Surman
Mark Natta
Jake Girdwood-Reich
Jed Drew
Lucas Kelly-Heald
Luka Jovanovic
Thomas Waddingham
Jonny Yull

The listed players are more developed the higher up the list you go
