if true this will be really annoying for any of us who have bought season tickets through ticketmaster

names, addresses, credit card numbers, phone numbers, and payment details

Maybe an appeal to Uni students in the area, there would be plenty of them I would imagine..
But they aren't going to become fans though are they?

Picking a football club is something that happens when you're a kid and then your stuck with it

can you get a season ticket in the ticket office or do they just enter it into ticketmaster?

I bought it in the ticket office but it still said "Online purchase", so I wouldn't be surprised if the woman behind the counter is just using the same website with slightly different access

Hold that comment then!!!! LOL - didn't read that!

In fairness there average attendance has been close to full - we are not there yet, or close yet regularly.

Anyway can't be bothered with another in depth discussion on prices. Good headline pricing WBA!
The day of the ultra fan is disappearing, seems the telly audience is the abiding factor in all of this, they should announce the fixture list earlier so we don't miss the first two games after booking holidays!!

That’s a very good point.

We’re all ‘legacy’ fans according to the big wigs and analysts at these big Prem clubs. Unfortunately.

I know of 1 70 year old supporter who literally cannot walk 100 metres and has to wear calipers and use a stick ..but is only on medium pip who has lost his carers ticket this year after many years , therefore will not renew for the first time in almost 55 years

Not true. I became a Cov fan after studying there. That was nearly 30 years ago... No prior interest in football so no childhood club and Im from nowhere near Cov. It can happen.... albeit probably not that often.

That’s poor. However like a lot of benefits, there are people abusing them which ruins it for deserving cases. I know of 2 people that get ‘carers’ tickets for free that are not carers. The people they are supposed to be caring for don’t even go to the football. A couple of years since I had the conversation, but still see one of them at games from time to time.

The issue again, the minority spoiling it for majority (Similar to FZ issues, although clearly this is of more serious nature)

Sad reflection on an entitled, zero care attitude society of minority who seem to ride rough shot over most things.

Not close to detail on above, but I would hope the club would look at cases on merit and use common sense.

Whilst I don't think anyone should be fiddling it, I would rather see a handful of nobheads get in for free than risk a bunch of either lifelong elderly fans or young disabled fans miss out on the opportunity and feel like their club has turned their back on them. I've seen a handful of disabled fans I know go pretty much every week who have all been significantly disadvantaged by the changes. I don't think these are the things we should really be going after to be honest.

Would have to be paid rather than a carer ticket
Don't all under 14s have to be accompanied by a paid adult?

Suspect, as with places like the O2, this is being clamped down on because people are taking the piss. I know the number of carers tickets for gigs has absolutely gone through the roof so they've started being a lot stricter on who qualifies.

If the child is disabled I'd assume they require a carers ticket

Southampton just put season tickets on sale equivalent block 20 over 65 £899 !!

be careful what you wish for. We all want PL football but remember it’s going to cost us. You have to accept if you want to watch the best league in the world then this is the price.

It's not like this at all clubs , why screw fans for an extra 5 or 6 mill when you are making an extra 100 mill plus in TV revenue ?

Make the money commercially and stop screwing supporters

no I agree. But it’s the reality of premier league football. It’s not meant to be cheap. Again it’s back to the 3pm Saturday argument. If you want those and a cheap season ticket then enjoy league 1 or league 2 football. If you want a successful team in the premier league you will have to pay for it and sacrifice 3pm almost permanently. I’m just stating the reality not what as fans we are entitled to. There obviously can be a balance as well.

Well it looks like they're not budging on allowing us to buy adult STs on concession accounts. I've renewed as I don't want to lose the points. This/Last season I 'upgraded' (paid full adult price) on the days needed which means we forked out a fortune. I won't be doing that this year.

I can understand us having to pay for it to get there but when we are there gate receipts are a tiny fraction of turnover so shouldn’t need to go up so much.

That’s the rationale
I think individual cases need a closer look and John would want to
