Think he's comes across well... handled the pundits trying to angle the Arsenal and Man City situation perfectly.. I can fully understand a player still holding their support for home club why not if its your boyhood club.
I do wonder though how I would play against Cov if I was a pro ..maybe your mentality changes at that level when you are being paid thousands to perform?

As a youngster I played against city’s trialists (until we were beating them and then they put on the youth team) at Ryton and all I wanted to do was prove I was better than them and that I should be there instead of them. The best player on the pitch that day by a long way was a lad called Gary Maddison who was playing in my side.

Rotherham look like they are making numerous decent signings. Then again it could all go Stoke

Don't forget who's in charge there!!!
I'm so starved of football that I watched the Steve Evans interview about Kelly's signing, and he said that he'd spoken to Mark Robins who said that he didn't think Evans would get him as Kelly had some serious offers. So despite the squeaky Robins comment, the two do seem to be on speaking terms at least.

I am pretty sure that since that Robins is on record saying that water has passed under the bridge and there is no animosity

MR has loaned him two players in recent years so there is probably no grudge

Tbh I don't mind Steve Evans, plays his villain role well and is a decent lower league manager

Why? We've done this before too. Underrating large foreign teams because its not prem. Its better than playing for fucking Wolves or Fulham! Much like Vik to Sporting.

It's a great move, I'd imagine a great place to live. They compete in European competition. Competitive domestic league. Much better than playing in the PL.

Probably win a title, get a huge number of crazy fans adoring him if he does (although watch out if he doesn't!). Seems OK to me.
