Turner saying its not done and in fairness to Turner, when he says something like this he's right most of the time

CoventryLive understands, however, that the report is wide of the mark and that the Sky Blueshave not completed any deal with Red Star, and that there is nothing imminent in terms of new signings. That’s not to say Mark Robins’ recruitment department don’t know about Stamenic, or haven’t looked at the player but, as it stands, City aren’t expected to be announcing any new players this week.”https://popup.taboola.com/en/?templ...utm_content=thumbnails-b:Perform Mid Article:

Interesting that turner has said it’s wide of the mark when then there’s so much noise that it’s a goer

It’s fairly obvious that he’s rang the club and asked and been told no. Which doesn’t really prove anything.

No disrespect to Andy intended at all, but I don’t think he’s got the inside scoop on any transfers, has he actually had an exclusive for a while on anyone coming in? How would he know that nothings been agreed?
He doesn’t get the exclusives but his info on whether things are happening does always tend to be good.

For such a big signing the club will want Robins there to do the old handshakes etc with the announcement i'd have thought. The player may also be on holiday. So until he's actually put pen to paper Andy can be right with what he's saying while the original story is still correct
He is. I cannot believe it but I did look at his Insta and he's in Greece. The obligatory "welcome to Coventry" was one of the replies!

It was different with Luton in two ways:

A. It was January so you're back in the Championship in 6 months - not enough time to impress other Premier League sides.
B. Luton are a small club punching above their weight who could easily revert to the mean and stick around in the Championship for the next few years. So you're back to square one.

If Southampton or Ipswich come in Sheaf will definitely want to go and test himself across a whole season. Though, I have a feeling Fulham are going to be keen admirers with Palhinha likely leaving this summer.

Wonder if we’re worried about another Hamer situation where we get a last minute bid. If he was off soon I’d have expected a lot more transfer talk than a weak Luton link.

I can see Sheaf being like Hamer subject to a late bid. I can see why Sheaf and O'Hare will be on the radar of Premier Clubs. But I don't see either in the category of we must go out and get him. I think they will be ones to turn to late on when other targets have failed to materialize.

O'Hare might be different as available on a free and a reasonable way of adding squad depth.
