Compensation for the wembley balls up!To be fair, he's a far better than a lot of the crap they have at the moment.

May also be one of our own whos attracting interest
Reputable link but noSheaf to man united? not really happening is it
Is Eccles to Rotherham more than rumour? Would have thought he's above that level.
PL interest or still Championship? He's wayy better than Rotherham
You are so funny aren’t you?I can’t believe how many people have been institutionalised by the club to accept that it’s ok to sell Sheaf. He’s under contract, how can you ever build a promotion winning team by selling your best players, a year left on the contract ok you can understand it. If he goes to be replaced by another inferior cheaper replacement you’re looking at tenth again. The more the club thinks the fans are fine with it they will be more likely to sell him.

The signing isn't official though is it? At this stage just a newspaper rumour
Depends on the situation don’t it. I love sheaf - don’t want to sell him, but if selling Sheaf brings in 15m - we can then buy 3 5m players.I can’t believe how many people have been institutionalised by the club to accept that it’s ok to sell Sheaf. Sheaf to Man Utd?!
I’ve heard it all now…sorry, he’s a smashing lad and a really good footballer, but I would be astonished if he didn’t struggle immensely with the PL. Especially at a club like Man Utd, with the climate, the expectation, the dross they have spent a fortune on.
If it’s true, then get it over the line; let them pay over the odds to fund a couple of quality players. Taxi for Benjamin!
Surely nowadays that is more difficuly as wages for the 3 players would be much more than Sheafs wage?Depends on the situation don’t it. I love sheaf - don’t want to sell him, but if selling Sheaf brings in 15m - we can then buy 3 5m players.
that way you’re building a better squads, like someone said - that’s the Brentford model and it’s relatively successful. Then next season you potentially sell MVE for 15m and the process goes again - 3 5m players
European interest especially from BundesligaPL interest or still Championship?
If we’re using the two FA Cup ties against PL opposition as a yardstick, our whole team are worthy of a PL move.Looked as good as any of them in the two PL team games we played. I think people vastly overrate the level of the PL for individual players. On a team level yes they can afford the best of everything and that leads to a massive gap. But I’d back any of our bigger players to make it at that level.
And playing around better players will improve his game too. In a way, hope this is true, he deserves a shot in the PL and not for some nailed on relegation cannon fodder team like the club chosen by Hamer.Looked as good as any of them in the two PL team games we played. I don't mind player sales like I used to as, unlike previous ownership, the owner has shown that he will give it back to Robins. Its quite exciting getting a big sale knowing Robins is going to be bowling around the transfer market with his massive bollocks.

People will have to overpay to get some of our players tbh. Its the world we live in now.Playing devils advocate, it means we may have to over pay sometimes
but I do get the point
We're all so fickle. It was the Swiss guy yesterday.
You'd think not, but this is the club that spunked £80m on Antony.Sheaf to man united? not really happening is it
haha exactly, "right lads, we've just let casamiro go, and bruno might leave on big saudi money, but i really like this lad from coventry we can get for a cool £15m"I love the thought of Man Utd’s chiefs sat down in a conference room weighing up moving for Benfica wonderkid Joao Neves or Ben Sheaf.
If Eccles gets a big move then I'd want Sanchez, Stamenic and Browne. With Torp thrown in the mix I'd be happy with that going forward.I want both if sheaf goes
