Taking McNally on loan with an option to buy would be better
So would I mate, but we haven't got £15million to piss up the wall on centre halves.I’d have McNally and Doyle back. CB area complete then.
genuinely curious, do you only rate players you've never seen play before from abroad?Meh transfer, not keen on having McNally back tbh, think we can do better now tbh.
He rates good players, doesn’t rate the bad onesgenuinely curious, do you only rate players you've never seen play before from abroad?
McNally is a good playerHe rates good players, doesn’t rate the bad ones
No, thanks.Or Jonathon Panzo when his contract expires at the end of the month.
I know what you mean, but for a free transfer he'd fill a spot on the bench, he's still quite young and if he improves we might even see a profit after a year or two.No, thanks.
I’d have Panzo back - he’s still a development but there’s deffo a decent player in himSo would I mate, but we haven't got £15million to piss up the wall on centre halves.
Paddy Mcnair on a free is more realistic.
Or Jonathon Panzo when his contract expires at the end of the month.
Referring to that poster’s insistence that we sign ‘good players’McNally is a good player
That's not quite true. We'd kept 12 clean sheets that season before he joined. We fell away a bit when Fadz got injured. We were bad defensively before McNally, we were good defensively during McNally. That's enough to suggest he was... alright.
Firstly just to say McNally isn’t an awful pick, I’m not completely against it, I just want us to be looking forwards rather than going for the nostalgia picks all the time. I think McNally is alright but is he game-changing? Not particularly?genuinely curious, do you only rate players you've never seen play before from abroad?
I like you BSB, forward thinking (unlike @procdoc, nibble nibble - although you do have sound reasoning, I think we just see things differently.)He rates good players, doesn’t rate the bad ones

McNally started to come good near the end for Stoke after looking poor in an under performing team. Stoke's new manager looked to have turned them around and I think they will do better next season. Will Burnley want to keep McNally? It will be interesting to see if Stoke bid for him, although they have just signed a new centre half. I would be happy if we signed him at the right price.
One position I always prefer British is CB tbh. Think some of the dodgy foreign clowns we've had play there over the years have scarred me for life.
Panzo, to trot out a cliche, had all the attributes. Tall, strong, quick and was good with the ball at his feet. He'd be an excellent signing on a free. No, thanks.

Almost all of the world’s best centre half’s are not British…….
Nahhh are they?seriously ?

John Stones is the only British centre half in the top 3 clubs in the UK. Eric Deir is the only British centre half playing for a top non British side in the world …Nahhh are they?

Oh this information has changed my mind completely. I hope Ruben Dias fancies a move to the CBS. Maybe as a sweetener we can send Will King to his house 3 times a week to clean shave his entire body.John Stones is the only British centre half in the top 3 clubs in the UK. To be fair, we’re probably not looking in the bracket of world’s best centre half.seriously ?
