Those wfrequent the off Topic stuff might know I’m doing a charity running challenge, as such I’m trying to be semi healthy so not had a beer so far this month. Chose tonight as a “treat” night so I’m a few beers down.

Really hope, and believe, it’s worth it. I get the TAA selection in a way but would prefer someone who’s going to play there when we (hopefully) get to the later rounds.

Lots of Southgate chat on here, and I get the accusations, but to be fair to him, he’s given me the most exciting England tournaments of my time. I hope this is the pinnacle.

I don’t get the obsession with TAA 60 yard diagonal passes. There’s more to midfield than precision long balls, especially when breaking teams down. His awareness has always been piss poor, and for a player constantly criticised for his 1 on 1s and tackling, CM is one of the most important positions for winning the ball and positional awareness.

If he played for a lower table prem team he’d be sat at home right now.

Great opening 20 by England , very critical of England generally but we look pretty good here and are absolutely bossing it , If I was watching this as a neutral I'd be saying " eh England look good "

I would prefer the inexperience of Mainoo or Wharton in there, actual midfielders.

Rajković in goal for Serbia. Watched him play for Mallorca about twenty times this season. Whilst previously he's been a really good keeper, he's had a shocking season. Not sure why he's been picked either as he's normally 2 or 3 for Serbia.

We have to attack his goal as he will make a mistake without question, or just do his usual from this season and watch the ball go in without even attempting to dive.
