If he does go elsewhere don’t get any ‘good luck to him’ type messages.

He’s been to Ryton, met MR etc and then suddenly pulled the plug and moved elsewhere. He’s led us on and I don’t wish him any luck at all.

Regardless of if it’s a ‘no brainier’ as it’s more money, European football, nicer location etc, he’d have known all that before he went through the final formalities with us before signing.

I’m not even a bitter person, but it’s poor form however you spin it.

I think you will find that isn't that unusual. It just doesn't normally get leaked.

It seemed to come more from the selling club and agent than the player. In fairness the player from the get go seemed to be saying he was 'hesitant' about the deal.

If anybody swallowed the he has signed rumour, when our club were tight lipped on the deal, well I think it's their fault rather than anyone else's.

To me, it just felt like a PR exercise in touting their player, when Red Star ‘confirmed’ Stamenic was coming to us.

Hence why other offers suddenly came in and trumped ours.

I don't believe anything until our club announces it as a signing. Too many clubs and agents touting for business, too many journalists looking for 'a told you so' while ignoring all the rumours they get wrong.
