He’s 22 and excellent with his feet for a CB. Perfect signing and it will be a tough fight between him and Liam for that LCB position. Only worry is if this fee has any impact on our ability to spend elsewhere.

Im obviously in a minority of 1, but I was not impressed by him at all. I want defenders to defend, and think about the football second. Was it 1 clean sheet from all his starts? Maybe if he were to play in a deep midfield role protecting the back line he might be able to showcase the silky footballing skills that many saw, but I would have preferred signing an intimidating hard b***ard who would be like a brick wall.

Apart from the millions of pounds we are risking, yes.

Paying money for players is always a risk. Not paying for players can cost you money.

We are now at a level when we have to pay for players if we want to kick on.

Cool! Great signing and should be one of the first names on the team sheet. Class defender.

At least we know what we are getting for our money.

Not sure many games Binks stood out in last season, but he was solid and always kept things simple, and seemed cool and collected on ball. Great 'buy' with good young potential and another defender from Kent, hopefully at least half as good as George Curtis.

He will. But he's going to have to start showing why we parted with 4 million quid
Kitching will be fine, he had some quality displays but did fade badly. Not even too worried by the red cards, a couple were very harsh.

Plenty of time for him to turn it around, countless signings over the years have really kicked on second season. This will be his first preseason which should help.

On that any whispers on a replacement defensive coach? I think that could be key

Saw him play a bit at Barnsley and really didn't think he was a 4m player hope he proves me wrong I'd say we would be luck to get half of that now if we moved him on

£2m - great signing

£3m - hmm

£4m+ - oh dear

Seeing him leg the length of the Wembley pitch to celebrate with the city fans when we scored, made me think he'd do anything to come back. Glad he's come back, really liked him when he played last season (there was one ball that sticks out in my memory when he switched the play and it was punt perfect). Really classy and will hopefully keep on getting better!

Credit to the media team, the reveal was pretty great.
Small side note though did anyone notice the teles in the background had names above the players apart from 24?

Fair play to the social media team. While the true/false concept is a bit cheesy, it comes across so clearly that Binks is fully embedded in the club and the vision, and has a real affinity for us.

I know some people mock those sort of observations or see them as irrelevant, but to me it’s a big factor.

He wanted to come back and it’s evident he’s delighted it’s happened. As fans we want players like that and as a player it adds an extra level to your performance.

I don't think Binks will.have much of a problem keeping his place.

Great signing. Got to love how much he seems to want to play for us. No need to write Kitching off. They’ll keep each other honest. Pretty sure Kitching has played at LB in his past. Not saying he’d be perfect there but it’s another potential rotation option.
