The psychology on this is interesting. I thought he was vastly overpriced at the £2m quoted last week. Now if he signed for £3m I’d be claiming that we got a steal.

Thing is...Much as he's not liked by us, Bellamy went on to be a great player. Had we stayed up, and had Hartson & Bellamy leading the line the next season we would of had a great season.

Bit of anticlimactic if I’m honest especially when we’ve been linked to Stamenic (granted I only heard of him about 10 days ago) and Browne for that position. Whilst I think it is a decent acquisition, it doesn’t fill me with a lot of excitement but I’m happy to be proven wrong.

I’d say he’s more of an 8 which is exactly where Browne plays and they both cover 8/10. Whilst he isn’t a CDM naturally he played there a few times last season too.
