Looks like another Maatsen type player...still looking forward to getting Gus 2.0 and a goalie

Will be interesting to see what type the next
midfielder is. We assume an 8 but I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s a CDM. I think Torp can be the 8. Rudoni is the 10.

Browne can play in all 3 positions I believe which is why I’m sure his proven capability and versatility appeals.

Apparently Preston NE and Burnley are also interested. Burnley are managerless so I tale that with a pinch of salt and if we lose out to Preston then words fail me
Tbf would most likely be a starter at Preston, pretty sure Browne played that role for them quite often and with him most likely leaving he's a shoe in for that position

Looks like he's going to Standard Liege

Eh, at least he didn't go to a Championship team. If he turned into a superstar in the same league that would be annoying.
Have to say other than Dovin there's not really any decent links left is there?

That Robins interview suggested we aren’t shelling out for experience. If that’s the case I wonder if Dovin and maybe the odd loan if he can get it past Doug is all that’s left.

Possibly but the fact we were close to shelling out a good whack for Stamenic makes me think we have something else up our sleeves.

Depends where the Binks and Rudoni and Dovin cash came from. I can’t remember the timings but didn’t Stamenic break down at least before Rudoni?

Robins also said we'd been after Rudoni for a while. No way of knowing how full the transfer kitty is really.

It's just forum rumours admittedly but I am of the belief we were after Rudoni, Binks and Dovin for some time, so presumably as well as Stamenic.

This had gone quiet, shame because he covered the positions we need.

In the end, whether it was nonsense or not. I wouldn't want a player who tries to force a move like that.

After watching Burroughs tonight I would be happy sticking with him than this primadonna

I really do hope Burroughs can kick on and cement a place in the squad. In the 22/23 he genuinely looked a good championship player and he has all of the physical attributes required, not to mention he is ambidextrous which is a major plus (can therefore cover LB & RB).

One thing I noticed about him is his unpredictability as he was so good on both his left and right foot. It gives the defenders a nightmare as they have to watch him on both sides, unlike some of our obviously one footed player who they can let cut inside without fear of a decent cross going in.

I love to see academy players make it and I just hope he can kick on and be an important player for us.

I thought Burroughs showed real promise when he first broke into the first team squad. However I trust Robins judgement and he didn’t pull up any trees on loan last season … I know the videos can be misleading but he looks like the kind of guy that needs to find some confidence and to feel he belongs to demonstrate his real ability …

Similar situation to Eccles. He had a mixed loan at Gillingham where was in and out of the team. He was a few years younger than Burroughs though in fairness.
