When I saw the thread title the first thing that popped into my head was an octopus.
Which made me think, would you be allowed to put an animal in your team?

I can still remember Collins bottling out of challenging for that back pass
Yeah that was horrendous tbf, any decent keeper needs to be sorting that type of situation out.

Also I feel that Collins is just too weedy, just looking at him doesn’t strike you with fear. If you’re a striker and you’re bearing down on Collins you’re not exactly going to be second-guessing yourself. Not that we need a massive bear of a man in goal but just someone with a bit of substance and crunch about them, a bit of sharpness and courage.

Towards the end of the season Collins started looking like an outfield player who's been told to go in goal. It was utterly terrifying
If he'd only given away one goal it felt like we had got off lightly.

Makes wonders about Collins and how much he deteriorated over the season and yes I got the feeling in the latter few games he didn't want to be there? He might have issues off the field going on or in a form of depression 🫥 we will see how he starts if we don't get another GK in the mean time

It was more a case of putting pressure on himself after his fuck ups. Thus then making more, and feeling more pressure etc.

He is a decent keeper. Better than Wilson. But is he a good enough keeper for a team with Aspirations of getting out of this league this season?

I think we all agree he isnt

I worry about the coaching of our goalkeepers...no one that has been with us actually seem to improve. If anything they stagnate or get worse. Yet one we let go seems to have got better and better...Addai albeit in lower league

Hmmm tough question, I guess someone with a GSOH, a glass half-full kind of person, who like walks in the park, watching movies and going to the pub on Sunday for roast dinner.

If he starts we are in trouble from the off.

Yea I was bought up on Bob Wesson and Bill Glazier.
Wonder how good we could be with Bill in goal ? 💭
The great keepers we had and never heard anyone moan about them Reg Matthews,Jim Blyth and Arthur Lightening .I could drool on but i'll stop there.
That was in an age when goalkeeper and ball ended up in the back of the net not like the mollycoddling that goes on today.
