But Tavares, Costello, Lusala, etc were mostly rotting in the reserves of league clubs it being released by Prem teams. I think going for lads who have come through is a better bet at this age.

Totally unfair to lump Tavares in with the other two who both failed to make any impact.

Di Trolio had a good spell at Welling last season too.

I'd be surprised if Sakamoto is ready to start games after that long out, even if he gets plenty of mins. in friendlies.

He was back training with the squad in the last week of the season as the club posted pics of him back on the grass so I'd think he's fit to start from the off.

I like Andrews just because he looks like an Aldi-brand Bellingham. Never seen him play more than 5 minutes.

My guess would be that we need to move some players on first before any new players. If Vik or Hamer were to go then maybe we’d have some funds to play with but it could be we are right at the brink of FFP.
