would cost an absolute fortune even on loan and we have simms already so no need to spend that much
also he wasn't on loan, he was sold and then Villa had a relegation buyback clause

Why would we do that?
We have Simms and Wright already. We need a backup so it ain't gonna be someone of Archers level. I highly doubt it'll be a loan either as their parent club would want guaranteed game time which we can't offer.
We need an understudy with potential that can come in and be happy playing off the bench.
