Ideal scenario is we find a year long loan in L2 for Dausch. Obikwu and FabTav go on loan for half a season to L1 and we can review at Christmas. We bring in some like Tyrese Campbell to be back-up/compete with Simms.
Theres no chance all 3 of them go out in my opinion

Dausch has been fast tracked and a good pre season for him may show us where he is. I think (not sure) he set up the goal for Rudoni based on the clip and it looked like he took on about 3 down the elft and pulled it back. Bear in mind PV are a league 1 relegated team so league 2, that's not a bad standard for a fast tracked lad.

I don't know if he'd be loaned out but I imagine he wont be in our squad with everyone fit just yet.

Justin should be loaned out for a big big season. Unless he really has put himself inw ith a chance.

Tavares should stay wth us and continue his momentum.

I think we'd be better off sending Obikwu and Dausch on loan and having Tavares as the back up striker that gets 5 or 10 mins off the bench.

We saw what he did against Utd, there's clearly something there and he's presumably a better player right now than Obikwu or Dausch so let them go on loan to develop.
Think I agree, all 3 need competitive minutes at this stage in their development.
As the current confirmed squad stands i dont think any of them make the 9-man bench until we get injuries/suspensions or someone leaves.

Tavares got time when Tats got hurt, but now we have Rodrigues that side who MR thinks is going to play a regular role. He certainly wont play left over EMC/Wright.

Think this might have been shared previously

Feels an expensive way of operating, presumably signing fee and four year contract for someone who probably won't play much or at all. I can't see Simms and Wright being dropped unless we sign someone really amazing and I don't think we have the money.

They probably won't be dropped but you can't expect them to play every minute of every game, are Taveres and Obikwu good enough to cover, I'm not sure they are. Yes if Simms is out then Wright can play up top and EMC can play, but I for one would like to see another striker being brought in

Not sure bringing in a free transfer striker is an expensive way of operating? We'll almost certainly bring someone in and i happen to think it will not be a freebie. Football at this level isn't a poor mans game.

Difficult really. Lots saying need competitive minutes and I do agree, but if we loan them out we still need 4 strikers ideally for rotation, cup games, loss of form, injury, suspension. Ellis and Haji are clear starters, so it's hard to find other strikers who would be good enough (ie.better than Tavares or Obikwu) who ate happy to warm the bench regularly.

For some reason certain posters took against him before he'd even played for us. As a result they have constantly wanted him out despite his amazing scoring record based on minutes played and evidence like the Cup Semi Final when he looked every bit the part against Manchester United.
Amazing scoring record against Maidstone and Rotherham 😂😂😂

Can only beat who's in front of you and these were the only times he actually was allowed to play as CF rather than wing. His last wing performance he destroyed AWB's knees until they decided to hack him down.

Take the bias out of it. The lad is getting better and shouldn't be written off yet. And based on pre season videos he's clearly not being written off.

I still don’t understand why everyone is saying Tavares out on loan. His contract expires at the end of next year so surely you either sell him for some amount of money or use him in the first team? Letting him go on loan just means we are losing him for a free and doesn’t do anything whatsoever to developing him as a Coventry player.

This. Unless a reasonable offer comes in for him Tav will be our striking option from the bench. He's more than good enough for that role.

Obikwu would likely be loaned out until Xmas at least. We do have Wright as a back-up for CF should Simms get injured as it stands. I'm sure MR would like to bring in a replacement for Godden but whether the funds would be there I think relies on Vik or Hamer moving.

Tavares will almost certainly stick around. Firstly, he's still recovering from injury and we'll want to monitor that. Secondly, he's the same age as Simms with a year left on his contract, so he should be at first team squad level, if not he should be sold. He's shown glimpses of his ability in front of goal and against Man U, so he will definitely be an option off the bench, either as a wide player or playing alongside another striker if we switch to two up top.

I agree a loan is probably a waste of time, but IMO he's not proven himself a good enough ST to be the primary backup to Simms.
Hopefully I'm wrong and he hasnt had enough chance at ST yet, but its a risk.
Wright will do some cover there but I can see him and EMC being the left side rotation depending on each games formation.
To give us the best chance of being competitive a better second striker is required. If Simms had 4-6 weeks out mid-season with injury we need a proven option in that gap.
