I ask the question, would it be appropriate to phone up your local hospital posing as relatives of a patient for a giggle? Wasting people's time and being a twat?

Could not agree more.... I'm sure that the DJ's in question could not have imagined that such an action would have ended in such tragic circumstances, and am sure they are truly remorseful... but the very notion of telephoning a hospital where sick and critically ill people are residing in the interests of "fun" and entertainment is indicative of what a tired and wasteful civilisation we now live in.
