It’s funny old world, a British serving soldier was nearly butchered to death on his way home from serving this country but it was on the news for only one day. A couple of British female police officers were were punched from pillar to post but the community of the offenders protest for the officers to be sacked.

Make no mistake about it, the vast majority of Muslims in this country have no interest in anything other than their religion. They don’t care about Britain one iota. You didn’t see them protesting against the Rochdale groomers did you.
You can’t have actually met many Muslim in real life because the vast majority aren’t strictly religious.

When was the last time you went on a protest against white British groomers?

It wasn't a protest against Pakistani rapists and groomers, it was a chance to say hey hang on a minute never mind Black Lives Matter, Never mind LBGQt never mind Free Palestine, we are British people who live in Britain, let's have a rally about us for a change.

So you don’t view gay people or people of ethnic minorities British then? Because I view BLM, LGBTQ+ very much as about us.

This has nothing to do with what I posted but I’m not even sure where to begin with this.

This is weird. Why do you need to have a rally "about us"?

Black and gay people aren’t British?

How else is Robinson going to pay for his life in Spain and Lozza Fix his alimony?

Yes, the arch grifter who "wants his country back" lives in Spain as he has an Irish passport. Couldn't make it up.

"Tommmeeee!"

Didn't say they weren't, there were people there from all walks of life, like I said before ain't gonna say too much but it was a good day out

I mean you did. You said it wasn’t for the blacks gays or Palestinians it was for the British.

It was a chance for a bunch of racists and conspiracy theorists to hang out. I mean if that’s your thing crack on, but it was fuck all to do with being British.

I'm not getting involved in any arguments but these are some of the takes from the gathering.

They've picked out a few token black people.
I doubt they are anymore representative of the typical attendee than those who were arrested for racially aggravated assault are.

Like I said I'm not getting involved just thought I'd post what I've come across. And no I'm not a fan.

Bit extreme to say everybody there was racist, surely? Maybe they should have waved Palestine flags and shouted about killing jews and some people would have been OK with that in London.

(A rally is also not something I would ever be interested in going to either)

So the three black guys interviewed were there promoting a religious organisation, his photographic business and a social media publicist. Great examples. I suspect from images Ive sedn the rally was 99.99999 % white.

How many of the SYL fans on here went to the rally if it was such an important groundbreaking event and support for Stephen Yaxley Lennon was so crucial?

Tommy Robinson is far more likely to wave an Israeli flag.

There is actual video evidence of Tommy Robinson BEING racist isn't there?

I've seen it. Being very racist towards a group of Asian men in Luton.

Is the second guy saying Robinson used to be racist, but now isn't?

Probably 95% white but a huge cross section in terms of age , gender etc.Very little trouble,no climbing on on monuments and not a face covering in sight .
They are as free to march as any other group may be.

Don't have a problem with them 'marching' just that very few of them really know why they are there and cannot articulate what hatred is motivating them to going there. Interesting you say 5% in attendance are non white.
That said I think there is an important message for government that neglecting white unemployment, low aspirations/poverty/unskilled/ poorly educated is very real and unless tackled then Reform may catch the Conservative & Unionist Party.
Historical evidence globally In tough economic times indicate those in poverty, lower working class are always drawn to anti immigration policies and racism grows...... as we know it was one of the key reasons Hitler was able to promote nazism, Trump MAGA , and Farage UKIP/Reform. We all need to work together on a middle ground to benefit everyone (and we need immigration) its good for economy .....I dont hold much hope though and worry a bit of the state of nation for my kids future.

If you want to celebrate Britishness a Tommy Robinson organised rally isn't the finest choice... especially if you're excluding lefties by refusing to say why it was great in their presence!

That's a very good post and you have hit the nail on the head (well done),a lot of the people on the march will be feeling disenfranchised for loads of reasons... likewise in the Muslim population the less educated, poor and disenfranchised sections of that population have very similar views and that's where the hatred and potential for trouble lays tbh.
Clearly on both sides of that equation these people are being manipulated.
Very difficult to sort out but imo a government priority.👍

I think the issue is the fact it's labelled all about Tommy Robinson and "followers" and also that it's hard to have a discussion about some of the issues without being labelled a racist.

There is no discussion in the middle when it comes to immigration for example, it's either blokes on the boat or at the other end it's about "if you don't like immigration then you will stop brain surgeons".

People are scared of the discussion I think.

While I'm thinking about it my one of my daughters and my sister in law work and teach in high schools (in Rugby)...I also have two Granddaughters in high school, they tell me there's a big problem currently with "white" kids being "groomed" by far right organisations and kids are writing WP and 88 on their hands and greeting each other with Nazi salutes.
I think a few members of the forum are in the teaching profession I wonder if this is just a very local phenomenon?.
It's concerning though.
