Given how big this deal will be for Vik, I'm assuming any delay is purely over personal terms. He's bloody well earnt it!Get it done soon, sporting must be delaying it hoping for a favourable exchange rate!!
Exchange rate wouldn’t impact them per se as the release clause is sent in stone at €100m.Get it done soon, sporting must be delaying it hoping for a favourable exchange rate!!
I really think the premiership teams made a massive mistake not taking a punt on him from us...
£20 million is nothing for them 12 months ago... Easy gamble...
Good luck to him, I hope he scores a hatful for whoever he goes to (as long as it's not the scum)
Cash is king really i think
What about say a two cents increase in the value of the euro, quite a big impact on on the total value and obviously our cut?Exchange rate wouldn’t impact them per se as the release clause is sent in stone at €100m.
Prem teams did want him. How we ended up with Simms was partly down to the negotiations for Vik. It was Vik and his camp chose Sporting as their preferred destination. He’s got better exposure in a league that’s developed elite players with (supposedly) elite coach with guaranteed European football. Compare that to slogging it out at Wolves, Everton or West Ham. Probably wouldn’t have attracted the same interest from Arsenal, Chelsea and the likes.
At the time I doubted his ambition but his career plan has been top work. Fair play to our team for negotiating such a good deal from a relatively week position.
The value to them is €100m regardless of exchange rate, Increase value of the Euro increases the cost to the buyer but decreases the payment to CCFCWhat about say a two cents increase in the value of the euro, quite a big impact on on the total value and obviously our cut?
Maybe they've had to sell first ? There have been some FFP concerns regarding the club. Can't believe Arsenal haven't done it already tbh. They are crying out for a number 9 of his mould and it could push them over the edge into champions.
The release clause has been known for a while. I'm surprised it's nearly August and they've not got him in the building.

Why can't people do maths on here?Around £8.1m if the Arsenal offer wins!!
We've already £2.5 m though recently part of the reaching goals or something? Why can't people do maths on here?
We sold him for 20m EUR. Release clause 100m EUR. We're now entitled to 10% of the profit.
(100-20)*0.1 = 8m EUR ~ £6.7m
That's the maximum we're getting.
That 2.5 m is separate from the 10% sell on, That was from clauses such as goals scoredWe've already £2.5 m though recently part of the reaching goals or something?
We would've had most of that a while ago for the goals/appearances target. It's only this £800k fee we've received recently. Anyway, I thought you were only talking about the money we will receive from a future transfer. We've already £2.5 m though recently part of the reaching goals or something?
No one knows what the exact amount is, as far as I can see.We would've had most of that a while ago for the goals/appearances target. It's only this £800k fee we've received recently. Anyway, I thought you were only talking about the money we will receive from a future transfer.
I think people mix up euros with pounds,Why can't people do maths on here?

Shit and inaccurate reporting. No one knows what the exact amount is, as far as I can see.
Mirror are saying thay are paying us 2M just to lower the sell-on deal,
Another web site saying it's 2.5M to be paid in two instalments.Arsenal handed massive transfer boost as clause agreement reached
Arsenal transfer target Viktor Gyokeres has been linked with a blockbuster summer move and Sporting Lisbon have hinted they could be prepared to do business in the coming weekswww.mirror.co.uk
It's all guesswork as far as I can see.
Arsenal transfers: Sporting CP alter Viktor Gyokeres clause as Gunners prepare imminent bid
Arsenal are leading the race for Sporting CP goal machine Viktor Gyokeres and a fresh report from Portugal suggests they are close to getting a deal done.www.teamtalk.com
Tell me about it. My son and his mates go busking in Stratford, and my cut (as 'driver/'roadie') is to keep any foreign currency. 50% of it is Euros, 25% American coinage, the rest Peru, Mexico, Scandinavian etc (all, except Euros, totally useless to me!)I think people mix up euros with pounds,
That's very generous of your son,and yourself of course!!Tell me about it. The problem is, it's hard to know what is inaccurate reporting, it probably all is.Shit and inaccurate reporting.
Well taking the guesswork out of it, the maximum in total we are going to receive for Gyokeres is:No one knows what the exact amount is, as far as I can see.
