At this point I feel more confident if we're playing a prem side than if we're playing a championship side.
We can't deal with the likes of Preston and Swansea who just bully opposition.

When we play a PL team its much more suited to our style.

Im not having that. Eccles, Torp and Allen all very good. Yes, if sheaf gets injured I’d be concerned but I wouldn’t say we’re lacking

Im normally pretty stoic whatever happens but if we fuck up this year because our squad is lacking depth I'll be fuming because we should be learning our lessons.
.and I think we're currently a couple short.

So many small things adding up to make us feel like a serious football club - proper pre-season games at home on a pitch that looks good, senior players available to come off the bench, a full coaching staff on the sidelines, a proper shirt sponsor, players we have signed for actual money. I don’t think it’s ever been this good in my entire Cov supporting life.

But if EMC plays LW then Wright is the backup striker and Obikwu/Tavares are 3rd/4th choice in a 1 striker formation

You're talking shit now

Our record signing and top scorer of last season will not be left on the bench as a No2 striker when fit

He's also shown he's shite playing the lone striker role. It's clear to everyone.

We will get a Godden replacement in 10000%

I don’t think we’re really lacking anywhere. A really strong performance against an admittedly poor Everton side. If we play that kind of football all season I’ll be happy. Although it won’t guarantee top 6.

You've played well tonight, good luck for the forthcoming season. Spare some of that luck for us, we'll need it !

You'll be alright.

Leicester are an absolute mess so that is at least one relegation place taken, and I'm not convinced by Ipswich either

But EMC is LW, Wright and simms are strikers. I don't think you'd drop a fantastic RW to put a striker in there out of position. Last season we had no option but to play Wright at LW. This season is different

If we got to the Prem, that’ll probably be plan. You’re not subbing either Simms or Wright who scored 19 apiece in their first Championship season nor a winger in EMC who got double figure goals and assists. Sakamoto hasn’t shown that kind of form to date.

Robins and his staff will figure it out, but you can see us utilising the aerial ability of Simms, EMC and Wright in the box. There’s a few tactical ideas you can pursue; wingers swapping (EMC & Wright) or pushing Wright higher up or narrower to almost mimic a 4-4-2 in some phases of play.

I don’t have an insight, my observation is that Sakamoto won’t be a starter for long after this season kicks off.

Pre-season so I still don’t think anything matters until Stoke. But EMC looks extremely solid business. Also, it’s human nature to get excited about new signings but Allen has such value to this squad. Dovin was assured.

I’ve never really been a fan of Allen but looked decent tonight always showing for the ball! I get that it was only a friendly so not highly intensive but if we can play like that for the majority of the season I think we could have a decent chance of mixing it with the top 4-6
