Honestly think Obikwu would be an upgrade on Godden, more of a threat.

Still can’t see this happening. Surely he gets more game time at Hull and probably more money. Hope it does though. May well be another agent leak to get Hull to offer him a little more.
He has certainly looks like he could be more involved in play build up than Godden was last season. Before this news I was a little concerned that loaning out Obikwu and bringing in some random European fella was from the same logic tree as selling Simms and sp#nking £25m on Beto but agree with those that think playing regularly in league 1 would likely be good for his development.

Just reading the few comments on Hull's forum, some seem perplexed that he's chosen us instead of them. They seem to think he's coming here as backup with less game time than he'd get there. Or money. We worked with three strikers last season so BTA coming here will be an improvement on the Wright/Simms/Godden trifecta.

He’s a rotation option, not backup. The chance to work with Boateng might well also be the extra factor, I doubt we’d have offered much different to them in wages.
