The thing is with the internet is that it is just regurgitating a single source and words get missed 'set to sign' becomes 'signed' before it is even confirmed

He did. It's the Robert Jarni situation all over again. Except this time we're Real Madrid.

Would be a great signing.

The panic on here this window has been a bit much. If it was a Hull forum there is a fair point to panicking, they've lost all but 3 of their goal contributions from last year and not bought in much in the way or replacements.

Some signing if this comes off

Being able to bring on BTA with 25 to go instead of Godden is a massive upgrade
Honestly think Obikwu would be an upgrade on Godden, more of a threat.

Still can’t see this happening. Surely he gets more game time at Hull and probably more money. Hope it does though. May well be another agent leak to get Hull to offer him a little more.

Says "signed" though, not "signing". Oh, I don't know.

25 year old Thomas-Asante played a crucial role in West Bromwich Albion’s push for qualification to the English Premier League from the EFL Championship.

He scored 12 goals and registered two assists in 43 games in all competitions and made his debut for the Black Stars after the fine campaign.

His debut came in Ghana’s 4-3 win over Central African Republic in a 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier played out the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi.

Thomas-Asante flirted with joining fellow Championship side Hull City but Coventry City managed to sign the English-born forward.

I always find it weird how these players aren't photographed when everybody has a camera in their pockets these days. We got Bobby in that pre-season game before he was announced, you'd of thought in a stadium of people one of them would have snapped a pic.

Brandon Thomas-Asante has passed his medical and signed as a Coventry City player.

The Ghana striker was previously with West Brom, a club he joined in 2022.

Asante impressed last season with the Baggies scoring 11 goals and providing 2 assists in the Championship.

His performances caught the eye of many clubs with Hull City expressing serious interest.

However, it is believed George Boateng, who was recently appointed as first team coach at Coventry City, played a role in Asante-Thomas choosing the Sky Blues.

During Boateng’s tenure as assistant coach of Ghana, the 25-year-old received his debut call-up for the Black Stars ahead of the 2023 AFCON though he didn’t make the final squad.

The striker had the opportunity to make his debut for the four-time AFCON champions in June against Central African Republic in the 2026 World Cup qualifier.

Coventry City finished 9th in the Championship last season, nine points behind a play-off spot and reached the FA Cup semi-finals.

The club will hope Thomas-Asante will help propel them to a potential Premier League return next season.
