No. Criminal damage in itself is not necessarily rioting is it. Obviously.

Criminal damage happens all the time.

You are going completely off topic and trying to point score.

Starmer said rioters and violent acts and people aligning themselves with them.

So what has happened in Rotherham then isn't a riot. All that has happened is a window has been broken.

Pointing out your hypocrisy is not off topic.

Two tier Policing, and two tier standards are what has angered many people

Nick the king of tiresome whataboutery.
Condemn what's going on right here and now.

ahh "whataboutery". Funnily enough I have, in the thread about the stabbing in Ireland and the trouble then I pointed out about absolute cunts looting Foot Locker and the aimless violence being disrespectful to the poor kids. I condemned it in Leeds the other week.

How do you think it went when I questioned the riots and the behaviour for George Floyd? How has it gone when I have mentioned people kicking off with police at Palestine protests? You know, when the demographic is different.

If you want to try and find somebody who only condemns when it's one demographic doing it, there's a long list but I'm not one of them.

You can cry "whataboutery" all you want, it's just the go to when somebody points something out to a hypocrite.

Rioting during BLM protests was condemned by loads of people. The issue was people tried to make any rioting the sole point when considering the scale they were pretty peaceful. There were hundreds and thousand in dozens of cities. What you’ve got here is hundreds in a few cities and everyone has been a shitshow.

All riots are wrong.

Exactly, you can't pick and choose. It's weird.

"Wait, does the riot match up with my politics? Are the coppers being beaten up by white or brown people?"

It's as simple as what you said. I just pointed out that some of the people who are putting overtime in on this thread, did the same on others but their views on riots haven't always really been consistent.

I would agree the Tories are equally to blame, but these tensions go back before 2010

Many have been saying for years this would happen but were just told to shut up, called racist and in many cases subject to anti white racism.

This isn't a reaction to Southport, it isn't a reaction to any specific event it's the result of a thousand different things right back to the Rotherham scandal and beyond.

I heard someone say today "if you keep kicking a dog, threatening its children, humiliating it, don't be surprised when it bites you".

The anger is uncontrolled, it is like a rabid dog. But the gov made it that way. They have a duty to help heal it. (They wont).

They will escalate, and strengthen the security/police state but none of the root causes will even be discussed.
it's racist thuggery, don't give it any kind of justification

What the actual f*ck.

All that happened in Rotherham was that a window was broken?

You should be ashamed of yourself.

I mean if you're going to loot, you'd surely find a better supermarket?

Do we have a closed border with Syria?
not sure how thats relevant tbh. doesn't have to be Syria, can be any country.

How many people coming to claim asylum do you think would be successful at a visa application interview in convincing the person interviewing them that they were coming over for a holiday. Do you think they'd be able to provide the name and address of who they were planning to stay with, show a means of return to their home country etc?

Also I'm curious, your posts seem to imply that your issue is not with asylum seekers, merely with their method of entry. If they all came over by plan on holiday visas would you have no issue?

Why are you running interference for Nazis attacking mosques?

Really? There's no issue pointing out that people seem to have an issue with a certain behaviour when it suits. Funnily enough they are the ones posting in overdrive to try and push their view home without being able to actually have a discussion.

There is an issue because it’s just distraction

No, I condemn all riots. Unlike you it seems as you seem desperate to move conversation to Palestine protests.

As you like questions so much why don’t you answer one.
Why are you running interference for Nazis attacking mosques?

I'm part Jewish. If I wanted to go to my own capital city over the last few months I'd have to hear about how I should die.

Are you suggesting I should just forget about that?

I'm sick and tired of double standards

All riots are wrong. Only some get called out it seems

If you had a relative trapped in that hotel while people had it surrounded, were trying to break in to get at the occupants and were trying to set fire to it would you be saying there's nothing to worry about its just a broken window?

What the actual f*ck.

I'd have no issue with police just getting rubber bullets in machine guns and letting loose with things like that.

The police need to do something, it's OK saying "we will find you" but get the army in, water cannons or whatever and just beat the fuck out of them.

So far fewer than the numbers of police injured this week despite being several orders of magnitude bigger and going on for weeks?

Why are you running interference for Nazis attacking mosques?

How many police injuries are acceptable in a riot/protest?

Yup.

Water canons at least.

People could die in that building.

Just hoping it was empty, or the ones that did get in, didn't actually attack anyone.

Like I said, all riots are wrong. Protests are fine, but I can never condone a riot.

Even when I was dead set against the poll tax. I still hated seeing riots

Shameful again isn't it. Entire thread could have just been someone saying shitbags, and everyone piling on to like it. Didn't even need comment or argument.

Must be like when I pointed out the trouble in BLM or Palestine threads where everybody just agreed that some people were being cunts? Oh, wait.

I’ll tell you why else it’s an issue, it’s one of the tactics of the Russian bots, it’s not aimed genuine discussion.

In a protest, none. Why are you asking?

You said criminal damage isn't a riot
Can't you see that is more than criminal damage?

I have put the photos up.

They are trying to burn a building that may well have people inside and trying to break in and burn it because they believe it is holding asylum seekers.

That's nowhere even near to "just breaking a window"

Lot of people calling for water canons, we don't actually have any in this country do we? I'm sure when Johnson bought some after the London riots they ended up being sold for scrap because they can't be legally used in this country.

Even if emergency measures could be brought in to allow their use where are we getting them from?
