James

We all know he's a c**t , but it's not his video , there are many videos of the same thing all over Twitter from different people

I'm perfectly happy with what side of history I am on cheers

No police

Sorry , but I am not sure on that video.

Not debating the footage, but the dialogue is coming across like a bot to me there

I think so much is created by bots.

That's not saying the video is fake at all. Wish to make that clear

A lot of bot like behaviour

That’s me done for the day.

Apparently was too much of me to question the context of a video posted by a geezer on twitter called “Athelwulf” who has literally posted disgusting as fuck racist stuff prior to the video someone posted on this thread.
I did wonder and I just posted my concerns

Evo made a point of saying he has no idea about the people posting or their backgrounds. It sounded like a young girl with a Brummie accent posting a video of the same thing from a different angle.

The far right love this violence and repeatedly talk about civil war, race war and division.
The reality is it's just a fantasy of a tiny group of pathetic lunatics.
Already were entering a law and order retribution phase.
Sure we'll see some more stuff from the more extreme lunatics, and some response to it and no doubt some halfwit chanting around football grounds.
But the wet dream is already over.
Now it's weeping in court and jail time.

It's real , the car is seen at the end crossing the grass

Evo posted one of a young girl filming the same thing from a different angle. The same car.

Even if it's true, it's a deflection.

Mind, everyone seems to have forgotten all those stabbing victims in all this. Been pretty much sidelined since the riots. 😢
I actually think its not a deflection. I don't believe South port riots were in response to those awful killings the miss-information was quickly correct at that time. I think things came to a head when the Police officer who acted appallingly in over reacting was not given benefit of full facts presented until days afterwards. I hope both party's are disciplined accordingly, but would wager a bet that his attackers will get legal representation as their right and get off lightly. Of course only time will tell, but he will probably lose his livelihood for his actions and his dependents suffer more tan his attackers. The 2 tier analogy is shown here.

Hopefully there is a proper inquiry into this including social media agitators and bots etc.
Yup, because that is people smashing a car. It's awful no doubt, but put the video with the tag and it seems so much worse

Can you really not see the difference in policing?
tbh no, not massively. I didn't see the police go steaming in over the weekend and I'm not seeing the police going steaming in tonight.

maybe I'm wrong but from what I've seen the police have largely taken a defensive role and gathered footage. it appears there's been far more arrests today than there was over the weekend.

I don't look at pictures of burnt out cars, shops & libraries and footage of people trying to set fire to hotels with people in them and think what a hugely successful police operation it was over the last few days.

but if you want to debate the effectiveness of the tactics adopted thats a very different conversation.

I could turn out to be totally wrong and Starmer has actually called officials in and told them to go in hard on any right wing 'protesters' but if there's muslims waving swords & knives around to let them crack on and attack people but I find it pretty unbelievable that would actually be the case.

Full on race war. Nice to see obv it's not all of them and the people recording are angry

Police need to be there asap.

This has become far right Vs Muslims.

No one else seems to be involved at all
Except the people in the pub or the driver's of car's who just happened to be there?

Carrying a knife carries a custodial sentence , a sword definitley so .
driving reclessely on roads is dangerous driving , its punishable by law .

white people who were involved in the riots will be hunted down and arrested and imprisoned

Completely agree that those running around with swords and knives need to face serious consequences.

I think the issue that’s being pointed out is that some people stay quiet when it’s the EDL trying to burn people alive, but then go mental when it’s the Muslims running around with knives.

That's because there are literally no police there to steam in.

People smashing up buildings and setting fire to hotels should and will I'm sure be prosecuted

On the other hand, I'm not sure how many were questioning the validity of videos from the weekend?

The video of the black guy minding his own business and getting punched, nobody was asking if he had said something or trying to discredit the videos. It was shocking. Thuggish behaviour.

Now all of a sudden when the demographic of people causing trouble changes so does the reaction with some people. We start hearing "but" a lot more.

Surprised at the scenes in Birmingham. As a reprisal in Middlesbrough or Liverpool etc more understandable although still wrong of course, but Birmingham where we've not seen so much trouble in a real cosmopolitan city if there was one is really disappointing. I so hope it doesn't spill over to Cov, really proud that we've not had this shit.

Do they?

I said that the bloke in Middlesbrough being racist to people in cars should be dealt with with a van at high speed.

Look at the empathy, understanding and justification for the people kicking off in Birmingham tonight and just imagine some of those comments about other events from the last few days.

It also means conveniently forgetting the history of the police and racism. Hardly known as a left wing organisation although more diverse these days.

Why are there palestine flags being waved? I don't get it.

Seems like there's much more to that side than waiting for the "edl" also.

Because both sides have had months and years of propaganda injected into their media feeds. You’ve got just as many young Muslims being fed that the west is helping to kill Muslim kids as you do EDL types sharing immigrants are killing our kids memes.

Yeah, this exactly.

I am not buying this two-tier system. I think it's a falsehood.

There has clearly been footage of rioters smashing stuff up and the police standing back. There was also that racist attack, when a bloke clearly punches an innocent black guy in the face and the police are there in the background and do nothing.

I am sure there will be loads of footage from both sides that could be used to prove a point.

There is a clear difference though between people standing with machetes and knives and people actually charging at a building with intent to burn down and enter the building, or set it on fire

No one is saying standing around with knives is okay. It's clearly not.

It's just two different circumstances.

The pub attack, I don't know where the police are there. Maybe attending another incident, or on their way. Point is, we don't know

I don't think there is two tier policing.

Makes zero sense to side with Muslims and antagonise white British folk. That's just stupid.

Bottom line is, anyone smashing stuff, burning stuff, looting, attacking anyone, or carrying a weapon, should be arrested.

Same tactics tonight in Plymouth. An officer in charge told Sky they are under resourced. A standoff between right wingers and anti fascists. Luckily separated by a fence.

Tbf to you Nick you did *condem* it all. If it helps I condone any Muslim agitators and hope they are caught too.

I just think it’s daft to read much into a few short video clips.

Anyway the situation seems like it might be out of control and I fear someone will be killed. I hope the police have all the evidence on social media recorded.

in short- yes they do. I haven’t seen any ‘empathy’ but I’m happy to be corrected if I’m wrong.

You know it is entirely possible to understand the cause of an action even though that action is reprehensible? I can state that I get why they’re doing this, but also that they need locking up for doing it.

Saying you get why someone has done something is not the same as condoning it.

They also take route of least intervention and escalation these days and for a number of good reasons.

Arguably turn it up a notch for climate protesters considering how peaceful they were.

Yes but the point is there are no police in Birmingham.

There's also footage of police dogs being set on people as well. One of them was a pissed up bellend giving it the big one dancing in front of the police.

The fact is. The police are nowhere to be seen and when it's mentioned it's made out the force is 2 community coppers in a panda car busy at another incident.

You can literally see hundreds of riot police in other videos.

The main highlights from the Leeds riot is the police legging it away.
