I'm going to make an overly optimistic prediction: CCFC to win L1*, 'doing a Reading'.

*If we do well (3Ws min) in next 5 games and we keep McG.

Any one else have prediction on where we'll finish :D

If we get 2 points per game average from now on we will finish on 67 points. It was 73 points for play offs in league one last year so will be tight. It's a big ask but strengthen in January and it's possible. I think we will finish about 10th imo

What planet are you living on, the next 4 games, 3 away to teams in the top 6 as of today will prove how good we are

I think it all depends on whether we keep DM. I know that one player does not make a team BUT I think that he is vital to our chances of making the play offs. Knowing what I do however of Sisu, I think the chances of keeping him are remote.

I think the next 5 games are 'make or break' for our season. Donny, Preston, Stevenage, MK Dons, Shrewsbury, the 1st 4 are above us in the table, and we haven't beat any of the teams we've played (LLD).

I reckon though:

Donny - D
Preston - W/L (50:50, our bogey team)
Stevenage - W
MK Dons - W (hopefully I'm going to that)
Shrewsbury - W

Earth, I did say, if we win 3 (min) of our next 5 and we keep McG, we'll make a right go at it.

Anyone who thinks MR's has not got every intention of grabbing a play off birth if he can is deluded. He's keeping quiet each week but he must know what can be done this season with the squad he has available at present.

If we finish in the top 10 and have a trip to the JPT Final I would be extremely happy considering where we were not to long ago

I am sticking with my deluded top 6 finish....but if the top teams keep dropping points and we keep this run going anything is possible. At one stage we were over 20 pts off the top. This is now down to 13. 25 games to go still.

in my much maligned bbc predictor thread i had cov to finish 5th and so far the 3 games since have gone as i expected,so we are stillon it for it!

i predicted 2 losses out of next 4 games however so if we can better that i will be very happy

If we keep up this form and play as well at home as we do away and keep McG, then i think we will finish 5th. I think its a realistic aim and with our recent cup form, i think we will be the favourites to go up thru the play-offs

i think we can afford 6 losses and still get promoted iirc my predictor correctly

i was on it all day working on different scenarios lol

I think we will give it a real good effort. As everyone else has said keeping mcgoldrick is vital as we have finally managed to get a goalscorer. I think playoffs are definitely possible but the next 5 games are crucial as we are playing teams near the top of the league. PUSB!

5 th .we will get there at the expense of notts county who we will beat 2-1 in the final game..David mgoldrick will score his 27th goal of the season and finish with the league1 golden boot .we will have already beat yeovil at Wembley 3-0 in the JPT final. PUSB :)

If McG stays, we're coming 3rd minimum IMO!

I'll stick with my prediction of 10th I made a few weeks back. I think the 4 games Shawsy :D had in charge have cost us this season. I hope not of course but it needs one mighty effort. If we can go on a 5/6 game winning streak I think teams will start to fear us. There has been progress so don't rule it out.

From a Norwich fan - Despite off the pitch troubles, I think Cov will scrape themselves into the playoffs. I will reserve judgement on wether they'l win the playoffs nearer the time.

Be positive Otis! 12th?

It's not just about good form, it's about consistently sustaining it.

If we continue to do well until Christmas and DMC stays I will change my prediction.

Do think we are going to lose him though and Bailey too. Lose those two and that will probably kill off any lingering hopes of sunnier climes and the heady heights.

I think we'll be 5th. The first 8 games or so of the season were written off. Since then we have shown we are more than capable of securing a play-off spot. We've twice drawn at home with Shef Utd and I think they'll go up. I think Tramere and a few other teams will fade. If we can beat Donny at the weekend then morale is going to be very high among the players. I might add at this point that I've got £50 on a top 6 finish so no doubt I'm looking at things through rose-tinted glasses. But we've scored 5 in two games recently and that hasn't happened for a very long time. PUSB

I have a fair bit more than £50 on us to finish in the top 6, although most of it was at short odds. Also got McG at 140 to be top.scorer in div 3. Posted on here for others to get on at 140 and 120 on betfair when he was only on about 5 goals. Hope some did.....and he stays

I'm still on the fence. Our form is good but we are playing Walsall, Hartlepool, Scunthorpe, Portsmouth, Colchester etc not exactly the cream of the crop.

Decembers results and which players stay will decide where we end up in my mind.

The form says top 6 is possible but my head says top 10 is more likely.
